Just checked my SS stats from yesterday ( Tuesday 8-27) and was shocked. It was 4 times what I usually earn on an average weekday. Huge numbers of OD sales for yesterday.

I am wondering if this is a result of the Facebook tie in, or just extremely good luck on my part. FWIW, today looks pretty average.

Anybody else?

Had a day last week where I hit 95 downloads. I'm usually in the 50s or 60s, sometimes 70s. Not 80s and 90s. And it wasn't one person just downloading my port. Just a spike.

I don't think the new Facebook thing has hit yet. Those sales would be reported under SOD, not OD, at least according to the last thing Shutterstock said about it.

I did have four SODs come yesterday, all for $3 each. That seemed kinda unsual.

Just got a couple more SOD for $3 each. That's six in two days, all exactly $3. Man, I wish that was the new Facebook partnership. Though Shutterstock said it would be more like what we get for subs.

wow, congratulation to you... and shocking for me as I didn't even had any OD sales and my yesterday sale was terrible

Yes, I had a great day too at SS yesterday, but not 4x above average, "just" a bit more than double. I did not think any of it, as I had another day like that on 8th August. How was your 8th August Lisa?

I'm surprised for all the month of august on SS. Lot of SD, than in some case are much better than EL (the best one is 75$).
Surprisingly this august is my BME on SS

Same here. yesterday was about 1/4 of my normal monthly earnings!

yesterday ended without ODs, don't remember the last week day without, it was a very looooong time ago (curiously had a 3$ SOD)

Yesterday was great, it started slow but ended on a high. Double my average. Today, not a single US sale and turning out to be the worst day of the month.

Why are sales so erratic on SS? Really really erratic.

I sometimes wonder if its random server lag and sales are reported in different times, so that maybe sales from the day before come in the next day, and sales from that day, come also on that day. Making it look one day is crap and the next day is great, yet overall it were two normal days. It seems to be the case because in the end the months are never surprisingly bad or good, considering a BME is not a surprise.

I average $20 per day for the whole month - weekends very few $s - made up over the week. It is fairly consistent and very steadily growing. I'm on about $630 for the month so far, so by my very approximate target it has been a good month. By December I'd like to be $25 per day, or $750 a month.

I know there are monthly fluctuations etc, but as long as there is an upward trend that is fine. End of next year I'd like to be at $35 per month - i.e through the 1k barrier. We'll see - that depends on more factors than there are MSG members!

Congratulations! Mainly the ebb and flow of microstock itself I think but .... there's absolutely no doubt that SS are going from strength to strength at several different price-points in the market. I think I'm projected to be up about 20% from Aug 2012.

The Facebook tie-in should show up as SOD's rather than OD's according to the blurb they issued.

I am doing well this month. I would NOT call it a windfall, but I am pleased. A couple of 28.00 DLs and lots of others sure make that balance go up quickly. Congrats to you, Lisa! You deserve it!

Now that you mention it, yesterday i had huge sales on single downloads- about 15% of an average months sales in one day. Too bad today is back to normal

And video is booming. I know I keep saying this but video is growing like a weed.

last 3 days have been good for me thanks to the OD and SOD depts, it still doesn't make up for the pretty dismal rest of the month, but at least I won't be close to 50% of last august like it was looking for a bit.

Just a normal weekday at SS for me. Although my sales have been up by about 15% in the last 2 wks, as summer comes to an end.

One new thing: On my Earnings by Date page and my Earnings Summary page, ads are appearing in the margins. Some for banks where I have credit cards, and one ad for Veer. I don't remember that happening before.

I am just curious on how many files you have in your port? are they all photos or mixed media?

numbers of downloads are slightly lower but it's yet another BME ! consecutive BME for the past 3 months
