just share my thoughts ...
In Stock industry are costumers in the first place. Large customers are in my opinion a big secret, which is carefully hidden from other competitors.
Maybe Shutterstock "latest downloads" World Map works OK but it is currently switched off. Why switched off? Well maybe for good reason.
Maybe they (test) monitoring sales without sharing information about sales locations. Maybe they realize that sharing information about sales locations are danger for their business.

I doubt it for most conspiracy theories it turns out incompetence/cock up is king.

Today I uploaded two photos, and 5 minutes later, I got e-mail, that they were approved. And 10 minutes after that I got e-mail thanking me for uploading content.
I'm not trying to say anything, I'm just sharing because I thought it was funny.

If Big stock get any quicker they'll be approving before I send them.

Yes, it is like this.
One year ago contributors lamented because of too much inconsistent rejections.
Now it seems that they accept anything, and that everything is accepted in minutes.
Personally I have not had one rejection for three or four months.
This remember me that it happened something similar with iStock two years ago… and we are all seeing what is the result today…
I have the impression that Shutterstock is running to reach the number of 100 000 000 images in the minor time possible.

You are probably right...they seem to think shareholders like a big number and don't look at the quality.
-
So, let me understand this. 6 months ago, yall were complaining because of rejections, now you're complaining because of high acceptance rate?

What people complaining on here? Surely not!!! The issue remains the same for me inconsistency...ie when I get rejections most of the time they are accepted 2nd time round. In fairness to I-Stock before they let everything through their reviewing could be very harsh but it taught me a lot. Now I cant think of anywhere where the review process is any help.

Perhaps they just put software in place to auto adjudicate certain images. I would think that it would be easy to quantify the digital characteristics of a good image. I noticed some go in minutes, others take longer.
