Wonder if this is because a lot of the content was about using Adobe software. I thought it was strange for them to teach how to work with competitors.

I wanted to contribute other types of how-to-videos, but they weren't accepting them.
The fact that you can find how-to-videos on youtube for free makes the whole service a bit useless. Sure, the videos are inferior in quality, but it's free. Skillfeed didn't offer enough value for people to pay for them.
I wonder how they're doing with OffSet.

I don't think YouTube has killed the market at all. There are thriving online education websites all over the place. YouTube has a limited set of videos that are useful. At the same time, so did SkillFeed. From what I remembered, SkillFeed lacked diversity in their videos and I think that's what killed it.

Very good Money Maker for me and my Pardner. we were in during Beta. did well. sad to see them go. I do think YT hurt the business though and Lyndia got out at the perfect time.

Skillfeed was never viable from the start, they had to compete with youtube and lynda. Lynda had much more professional content to begin with and the amatuer videos on skillfeed never enticed me to pay up, youtube is free.
