As far as I know SS follows this forum. But I did Tweet either Oringer and SS anyway.

How exorbitant is it? Surely it's not that much more than it would be through your bank?

loosing many hundred euros per month because of their receiving fees, unfair currency and high withdrawal fees is simply criminal act.

Depends on the amount I guess. If you're earning hundreds or thousands a month then paying hundreds sounds very high. Sounds like PayPal would be better. If you're making tens of thousands then it sounds about right. I think the going rate is about 1.5% for currency conversion. I could be wrong.

How exorbitant is it? Surely it's not that much more than it would be through your bank?
From SKRILL website "For transactions involving currency conversion Skrill adds a fee of 3.99% to our wholesale exchange rates.
The exchange rates vary and will be applied immediately without notice to you."
So it is 4% plus withdrawal fees. I hope it is exorbitant enough to call it as robbery.
Which means if you make USD 1000 monthly, you pay USD 500 for each year to Skrill for the service that you don't want and need.
Probably you will re-convert to USD in your bank with additional expense if you need USD.
Paypal is not operating in my country. So Skrill is the only way to be robbed. That's why I want Payoneer.

Does Payoneer really let you withdraw US dollars? I've been looking for an alternative to PayPal (I lose way too much per year compared to if my bank would do the conversion at 0.5%)...

Payoneer is awesome payment service. It also provide credit card.

With Paypal it is very similar,. conversion rate may be bit less, but it still very unfair. And they don't allow you send USD anywhere out of US border. Please write Shutterstock request for Payoneer on their helpdesk, or anywhere (Facebook, Twitter, Forum). If only 100 contributors will ask for it, they can consider it,.. This can save remarkable amount of money to everyone.

Payoneer is the best. I asked SS years ago and several times to please involve Payoneer. They didn't. I asked Payoneer to contact SS and try to negotiate out a deal... nothing happened. So yes we should keep trying but I do not have high hopes.

Well, someone, somewhere, has to pay for the conversion. I do agree the hidden fees are twice as high as they should be though.

Skrill IS nothing but thieves.... conversion rate from USD to EUR has been 1:0,94 for a month now, but Skrill even lowered the conversion to grab more money from transactions. Nothing but thieves.

Yep, like i signed up at fotolia, and automatically got redirected to US portal, and now i get paid is US instead in EUR, and i live in EUR... crappy scam.
