Hi I am quite new to microstock. Had images accepted at IS, fotolia, dreams time, 123rf, alamy etc but failed to get validated on SS twice. Could you give me some recommendations on which images to submit on SS from my fotolia profile:

I love the fly. I think you should take more pictures to have a better choice.

YOur images lack pop and they look underexposed.

SS likes saturated bright images.

your main problem, technically, is that your white spot is not white in many of the images.
So there are WB issues, with the flies it is obvious.
also your framing is little random.

Think opposite: express the keyword with the photo, and use the white dropper in levels.

2. Convert to LAB mode (Image -> Mode -> Lab color). Don’t flatten.

10. Select Lab channel. Convert back to RGB (Image -> Mode -> RGB); don’t flatten.

I had not switched to Lab color using curves or levels adjust, and I have read quite a few SS tutorials, Is switching to Lab neccessary / effective / unique ??

IMO, the two finished examples they have in that tutorial are way overdone. Somewhere between the pre and post would look about right to me. Careful processing in LR, Elements, or basic PS will get you where they want you to go without converting to LAB.
Of course, it's also possible that most think my images look flat.....

I would expect the cactus to be rejected on focus these days agree too thats its overdone

Almost all my images was approved in the past. But this month, few were rejected for bad focus. But hey seems okay to me like the other images I've submit in the past ! Strange ... $:-\$
