My earnings on SS so far this year is a nightmare - I have a portfolio of more than 2500 photos.
Dec 09 was my BME.

Any words of comfort?

I don't know if this is any comfort or not but sales have been good for me in Jan. A BME with the average sale of an image being 70c.

A good start to the year.  I haven't uploaded much and January was about 25% up on 2009.

I was dollar away from third best month ever. December was very bad so it could be completely accidental. I have to wait another month to see.

I had a surprising BME in january, even if I uploaded only a few images. (Numerous ELs helped!)

Well, if you're looking for comfort of the negative kind, Jan was my worst month on SS since October 2008.  ;D The beast is hungry, and I haven't been feeding it.

Feeding doesn't help apparently, if you're not a new contributor.

I had 6 sales for all of the month of january if that's of any comfort to ya.  I only have 43 images and won't be able to upload until the 12th.  Which will be nearly 8 months without being able to do anything.

Chin up it's February :)  Here's to great sales for everyone :)

My January was pretty much a BME with the EL sales I got.  No complaints with me.

I had fewer ELs in Jan so my total is below November-December, but the number of sales is about the same as the past few months.

Actually Shutterstock sales have taken off for me of late along with Dreamstime and Fotolia even though I have not been uploading, did wonder if it was anything to do with the iStock price increase and more shopping around

I've been unable to upload anything to SS for about 2 months now and my sales continue to grow....I'm half afraid to start uploading again for fear of my sales falling off... ::)

Why can't you upload?

I started uploading to SS again in december. Sales have been good. I hit payout for February yesterday, probably the earliest ever. A good mix of new and old stuff is selling.
