Title: Subs run
Post by: Pauws99 on September 09, 2015, 14:02
Currently "enjoying" a run of 54 subs sales with nothing higher. Is it just me having a poor run?

Yes.  I'm averaging an OD or EL every 6.1 DLs so far this month, which is much higher than usual.  I expect it to average out by the end of the month and I'm sure your string of subs will end soon.

Thanks.....so long as the run doesn't end with a run of nothing...... :'(

30+ subs in a row for me.

Its quite laughable really. They are pushing subs, packages all the way. They will earn more and we less. Since day one of that 30% drop on the market, the desperation shines through. Thats all it takes for the bean-counters in the admin to totally freak out.

In all the years with SS, never seen the place in such a state, such a mess.
When giving a broader look its little wonder that Adobe/FT is closing in like an express train.

Thanks!  Unfortunately I think it is just a temporary fluke but will take it when I can get it!

(Last month my average was one non-sub every 13 DLs, which is more normal)

I nearly fell off my chair this morning!  83 subs in a row, eighty-three!! here is the scary part, almost all old files. Can't believe it. What ARE they doing over at SS.

67 now.....I Stock, Fotolia and RF123 are all currently selling better than ss for me.....strange times! It doesn't help that I get close to zero accepted on SS these days!

I am on an extremely long bad run at the moment, started in August and hasnt ended yet. Fingers crossed its the holiday period, but I am not holding my breath

Yesterday Adobe/FT outdid SS by miles, almost three times more, not the first time either and the majority was in fact proper credit-sales. hard to believe but ever since that drop on the stock-market, SS is on a real decline.

I suspect as is often the case while some of us are doing badly others are having a good run. However for me personally SS seems much more inconsistent of late. I think they are being complacent about Adobe/Fotolia.

Well, for me August was BME in number of sales ( not earnings, a few ODD's short). And for now, it looks like september is going to beat it. Same with fotolia, so far the first 10 days of sept. are the best in earnings.

I feel an improvement in sales for FT but quite timid. Let's see what will be in future...

My sales distribution is almost like every month. Subscription sales are slightly above half of the royalties I have earned so far which is a bit higher than usual but not by a lot.

I started to scroll down your port in Fotolia, and I got more and more hungry until I saw that brain and liver which made me almost vomiting.  ;D
Your definitely have good skills in food photography. Good luck!

BTW, sorry for dragging it out of the topic. FYI, my subs are in a marathon run.  :-\

Thanks again for your words  :)

I really wish there was a way to opt-out of subs at SS but of course there isn't. Its a subs-site after all. Last four days have produced an average of 84 subs per day. Crazy!
OD's and credit-sales have just completely vanished.
I'm afraid this is the one single stock-agency model that destroy this whole business.
