Hi, i'm new member here and i have a little problem with upload clips to Shutterstock.

(sorry for my bad english)

I did the first exam to shutterstock and I have rejected all the videos.
To avoid being rejected again at the second attempt for the exam, I wrote to shutterstock to know what was the problem.

They told me:
There are two issues with your clip.  The first being that the aspect ratio is 2.2:1.  This may be due to the choice of using DVCPro.  DVCPro does not generate square pixels.  It is recommended that you change your codec to a more common codec such as PhotoJPEG or ProRes.  The second issue with your clip, is that it is letterboxed.  Please see the attached photo for an example.  You will need to stretch your image to reach the 1920x1080 resolution that you are trying to achieve.  With these two adjustments, your footage will likely be accepted.

So...
can someone tell me which codecs and formats should I use to create 1920x1080 video that will be accepted by shutterstock.
Mine is only a technical problem and not of unsuitable content or the height of the site.
Here are some screenshots that I did, about the settings of the composition and rendering of my movies:

And this is ATTACHED PHOTO from Shutterstock:

Please HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would use the free program MPEG Streamclip after you have done your edits in whatever program you are using, using the method outlined on the Shutterstock Forum

http://submit.shutterstock.com/forum/abt19043-0-asc-0.html

Skip the "infomercial" advertising for his site and pay attention to steps 1-4 listed below the text   ***Original Post***

I have been using MPEG Streamclip with several cameras, and haven't had any technical type rejections

Yes definitely use MPEG Streamclip...it will simply convert most codecs into photo-jpeg (which is basically the stock video standard now.) You haven't said what camera you are using.

thanks for the quick answers, however we do not currently use neither a camera nor a camera, my videos are a figment of my imagination and create them only basing on strumeti me that Adobe After Effects CS5 provides.

What actually I need to know are the settings I select to create videos with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, the maximum resolution and with the format and the correct codec.
In the screen that I have attached in my first post, there are all the menus and menu pop-up windows settings that After Effects offers me.
Could you kindly tell me which ones to select?

I am currently working with plans and 123rf, movies were always accepted (except those who did not like the examiners).
The settings you use with them can be found in the screen below:

In this other screen, I put another saving option that could possibly go well, tell me if it is so or if I have to make other changes.

Thanks.

You said in your opening message that you wanted help in getting past the video entrance test...

If you were smart you would use streamclip as described in the SS forum post.  Just use it one time to get past your technical problem, streamclip doesn't care if it came from a camera or not.  Using streamclip and the 4 steps in the SS forum post will end your technical rejection.

After you are accepted, i.e. get past the entrance test, you can experiment with AE settings to find the precise ones that Shutterstock desires, without the penalty of waiting 30 days between guessing the settings.

If you want to be "hard-headed" and continue to try the guessing method see the following post http://submit.shutterstock.com/forum/post-2377471.html Rekindle message using Format Quicktime:  Codec photo-jpeg  quality 90.  The settings Rekindle says to use are the same ones in the streamclip message.

The smart thing would be to use streamclip to get accepted, then experiment with after effects settings after you are accepted.

Hello guys,
I just wanted to inform people that they told me previously and visitors of this topic, about how he ended my attempt to become a contributor Shutterstock.

Mission complete!  ;)

I already have 45 videos uploaded to SS of which 0 rejected!
I also already another package of video to load then all is well.

As for the use of MPEG Streamclip, I have not needed it.
I just found the right settings and composition rendering in After Effects CS5.

For those who need it (in my case it was these):

Composition Settings:
HDTV 1080 29.97
Resolution: 1920x1080 px
full resolution
Pixel Square
29.97 fps

Rendering Settings:
Format: QuickTime (. Mov)
Video Codec: PHOTO-JPEG with quality of 95/100

A greeting and thanks especially to users that they responded to my previous post.

Bye bye!
