I don't look for my pictures usually but this time I was going to send a link to my model and noticed this

This picture was approved and is showing in search and in popup preview but if you click on it, it says "This image pending approval or doesn't exist"

I've been waiting thinking maybe it was just a server update issue but after 2 days... I'm afraid it's a permanent error?

Any similar experiences? Should I contact support or just wait?

Shutterstock is full of bugs of this type last few weeks. Approved files do appear in portfolio and disappear again few days later. Some of them didn't appear (but can be found by id number) at all so I had to contact support two times. They fixed the problem but images are buried. It also happened to me that I was able to find my images only by certain keywords and by some keywords not.
I think these glitches together with lower approval ratio these days has caused that June at Shutterstock was very bad month for me.
But you should contact support. They asked to be contacted at SS forum.

Thanks, I'll contact them right now then.

I found one of mine that was uploaded a few weeks ago that had the wrong title.  It had the title from a photo that was rejected.  No problems with my last batch, they were all rejected :)  If I hadn't had a BME with them last month, I would be getting annoyed.

Same here

Now they fixed the problem but I cannot find my image with the word "woman" which is quite important I think. I can find it with "bread" though.

I just tried some other images and there are still some problems as well. Unfortunately it seems that the most important keyword is usually ignored.  :-\

I can't find some of my images with search engine even in my portfolio, so they are invisible for customers.. I see them only if I click on link of my whole portfolio...

I'm seeing several threads there about lost images ... relevant search seems to be the culprit?

I checked all my images uploaded in last month and it seems that the best thing I can do is to delete them and re-upload them when this keywords problem is fixed. Almost every image has problems with some keywords, usually the most important ones, so they are practically invisible.

I stopped uploading to SS this week. This keyword issue is worse than the occasional mass rejections.

Good decision. Now, few hours later, some of my images even disappear completely.  :-\

trying to find out why some keywords show up in search, some not... it seems like only "caption" is being searched now, not keywords; but this is only happening with new pictures from the last few weeks

maybe we should start to squeeze as much keywords as possible into caption while maintaining some sort of syntax, just in case a site decides to mess with its search?

It seems that all the problems are fixed now.
