Is there a specific day of the month that Shutterstock pay out? I'm in Vegas for the next four days and things aren't going that well! I know 90% of places pay out on the 15th, later for iStock and earlier for Shutterstock. I got paid on the 9th last month but as I've only had a couple of payouts from them so far, I wasn't sure if that was an exception or the norm. Thanks!

I've been paid as early as the 7th and as late as the 9th.  This month, with the reporting delay caused by the Turkey issue, it may go slightly longer, but no later that the 15th which is their stated drop-dead date.

In 10 + years never later than the 8th.

Hmmmm. Well, It's the 9th and No Money. if it goes past the 15th. then we wonder.

No sign of it yet. Hoping it arrives today. Don't want to be rummaging in the bins for dinner!

Must be a small group.  I received my May payment (via PayPal) on the 7th.  Located in U.S.

Right. Yeah, yeah, that's it. 

I didn't get the "your Shutterstock earnings have been computed" email until the 7th, where it is normally the 1st-3rd, so obviously they are behind. Hopefully the team that wrote the uploading code hasn't been allowed to touch the payout code.

Yep...I also received the "earnings computing" email on the 7th and have yet to be paid. First time since my very first payment in Dec 2005 that I haven't received my payment before the 10th.  SS says the delay is the result of Paypal being denied its license in Turkey, but if that's true, then why are folks in the US like dbvirago and me affected? It doesn't make sense.   

So far, this will be the latest I've been paid since I joined in 2010. I've always gotten it on the 7th or sooner, except once, it came on the 8th. I got the payment email much later than usual as well.

relax, as the email already said a million times before... you get paid BY THE 15TH.
if you realise that this is not some agency that only has a handful of contributors that reach payout
monthly or even once a year or a lifetime, and that many of us reach payout each month
and has never had a late payment or a non-payment...
don't you think your wasted energy is best spent on making more images for your port

So previous  payments on the 7th every month never happened?

Name a month in any year where SS actually paid on the 15th

According to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, 'making new images for your port' is pretty low priority, and definitely nearer the top of the pyramid; if anywhere. It must have been in the director's cut of the first episode of Lost, when Jack had everybody searching the debris for camera equipment, so they could work on their portfolios.

Usually, I'd completely agree.... delays in reviews, late notification emails, later than normal payment when you don't really need them, sales trends, keyword issues... work on your port and try not to worry about it. But when you're thousands of miles from home, don't have the equipment with you to make new stuff, are running dangerously low on cash and you're envisioning walking ten miles to the airport with 40 pounds in two bags.... then anything other than looking for a solution to the problem would be wasted energy.

But anyway.... I got a long overdue freelancing payment late yesterday, so it's all good. Not much, but it will keep me going until next week when I get a whole bunch of stock payments.

An admin posted over on the SS forum this morning that she had checked with accounting and everything was still on track for everyone to be paid by the 15th.

Thing is its still 5 days to the promised pay out date to plan on the basis that will arrive earlier than promised is not good practice imho.

to me nothing yet...but i never care when they arrive because they arrive for sure...it's the only customer that pays for sure 100%

ditto. if they start getting paid on the 3,4, 5..etc.. soon we will get ppl panicking because by the 5th the money is not deposited yet

I never plan on getting paid before the 15th. However, I also never plan on getting really drunk and losing more money than expected in Vegas... but these things happen. As a result, I was looking for solutions, possibilities and eventualities that might result in me getting hold of some money before the 15th. And although they say the 15th, it's usually before the 15th, so it's not like it's a pigs might fly/hell freezing over kind of situation. If I'd divided my money and put twelve equal bets every month, on SS paying out before the 15th over the coming year, then I think I'd be onto a winner!

Fair dos at least you didn't get married while you were there (I hope!). I don't keep records and to be fair I think this is very late for SS

We were all on the edge of our seats waiting for the answer to the question, when exactly does Shutterstock pay out? And the answer is when you're in LA time. Now I can go back to watching paint dry. 

I think they pay out in some other time zones, but maybe a little bit later. Or earlier.

dbvirago, new or not, ss is very clear on when you get paid, before the 15th, any moaning before the 15th is just that

My experience is that SS is very consistent with payouts. No need to open topics when they haven't paid out before the 15th. I understand people are used to being paid out before the 15th but really, SS doesn't need to pay before the 15th
