Title: Why are SODs on SS .38?
Post by: cathyslife on May 21, 2014, 09:05
I did a search here, hoping to find a thread where this was explained, but I couldnt find anything.

Typically, I get paid $4.35+, sometimes $17.40 (one I received in Jan). In the last couple of months, I see some .38 SODs. Why is that commission so low? Is that a result of some new scheme they have implemented this year? Sorry if it has already been discussed somewhere...

This is the thread: http://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/ss-partners-with-facebook/ (http://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/ss-partners-with-facebook/)

Simply put: Royalty for thumbnail images for use by FB advertisers

Yes pixol is correct. Those are for Facebook advertisers....tiny thumb only. Not too bad I suppose.

Thanks for the thread link. Somehow I missed that one. It's been around since mid-2013, but I only started seeing them in January. I've only had a few so far, thank goodness.

It's weird...I tolerate the .38 in the 25-a-day column, but in the SOD column, it's offensive.   :o
