I'm not sure if this is in the right place as it's about video, but also about SS.
I just had a batch of videos rejected (1 out of 23 approved). The reasons were noise and unstable footage. These reasons are 100% correct, but I wonder if context matters. They were all taken during a typhoon with winds of up to 155 km/h, so yes the footage WAS shaky (even on a tripod). And some was taken at night, so the very high ISO was used. Even with these flaws, it seems unlikely that customers would get this kind of footage at micro prices.
FWIW, the videos I submitted of a typhoon last year were shot handheld and a lot more unstable. All of those clips have sold. (Reviewers don't seem concerned with the water on the lens.)
Is it worthwhile resubmitting with notes explaining the factors involved?
This is a sample montage of the clips I submitted.

Try submitting as editorial if not already?
I uploaded a few from Typhoon Haiyan last year, all handheld, obviously a bit wobbly etc and they got accepted and sell. They;ve started selling again this year due to the season.

I would recommend disabling the sound.

This is excellent footage! You're in a typhoon for God's sake! What do they expect? Studio lighting and dolly shots? DO NOT eliminate the sound. Leave that up to the buyer! IStock. Pond5. If SS reviewers are too narrow minded forget them. This will sell well elsewhere.

Pond5 wanted the sound removed off my typhoon clips before accepting. SS just accepted. Its newsworthy and for that reason they can't insist on sterile studio type footage.
-
In this instance, I think sound would be integral to the story.

Thanks for the feedback. The clips I submitted were without sound, as I usually try make one set of clips that meet all the agency requirements.
I'll try submit these again with notes. Is it better to just upload them again, or to message them to ask for another review?
