Title: Help Firefox
Post by: Mackenzie on September 25, 2009, 11:34
Hallo,
I often use Firefox, a great browser, and sometimes go to Tools - Options - Security - saved password to read and erase the passwords for the sites that I visit.
Do you know if there is a way to shorten this path, maybe insert something in the toolbar to speed up this task?
Thank you

I don't know if this is what you want, but under Options - Privacy there is a c heck box "clean history when exiting" or something like that (my FF is not in English) and you can configure what information you want to clean - passwords are one of them.

The problem is that I have to delete a single password at a time and not all.
Thanks the same.
Bye

Personally I like to keep my passwords stored, but if you're using a shared computer or other people have access to your machine, you can just create a bookmark to:

chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xul

Visit that whenever you want to remove your passwords...
Then hit the "Remove All" button on the bottom left.

There are a lot of these chrome:// urls in firefox, you can find out more here:

Never save them in the first place. I'm not sure what your question is? Deleting them or just never saving them?

Go into the options menu and select the “Security” tab. Then uncheck the “Remember passwords for sites” checkbox.

If that was the solution you were looking for.  ;D
