Here's the link
https://99designs.com/logo-design/vote-noyfzk

Leave a comment and feel free to type in your username so I can see (for interest) who is voting for what.  These are the top contenders so far - the designers are still at work so I'm open to suggestions and can still request changes / improvements.

.. and make sure you give a vote to the ones you don't like as well so they get ranked properly

132, 48, 41, 33, 23 have all the same problem: the text says Micro Stock Group, when it should be Microstock Group (as in 104 and 27). 128 says Micro Stockgroup.

I don't like the brown color, It's a very difficult color in logos.

I wish I would have known about this, I could have offered up a solution.

Frankly, I'm not overly impressed with any of the choices.

I'm not sure if this is important to you but none of them seem to relate to photography.

It's still open, I think.

Yeah.  Looks like the designers have a folder of 'discussion group' icons and just pulled a few out.

because microstock is not only about photography..

it is about photography, illustration, audio, video, flash animation, web templates etc. etc..

I specifically requested that it not be just be about photography because this site also includes audio, video and illustration.

Nope, closed to these finalists.

Works for me, it's a discussion group.

128 for me.. 33 and 41 are also acceptable..

what I would change with 128:
- drop the white spot on letter "o".. whatever that is?
- make "microstock" very dark blue, and "group" a lighter blue.. this will eliminate the issue perry mentioned..

I still think it would read as micro stockgroup.

the bubble can be tried between stock and group as well.. if there has to be a "bubble" in that logo, that's the one imo..

Yeah, it could make sense to have the bubble on the group since that is the part of the word meaning discussion.  I don't mind it saying micro stock group though because micro is just part of what we are.  We are first stock photographers/illustrators etc. .. then second, microstock photographers etc.

I agree with the bubble think in the O, it's unnecessary and a bit distracting

But there's no effort to imply or incorporate creativity or artistry or selling.

I'm also (in the long term) planning an update of the site here in terms of looks and colors which is why the logo doesn't match the site.  The colors in the logo are easy to change though either way.

One could also argue that 132 has a speech bubble with creativity bubbles coming out the top ;)

Leaf, I was going to enter this but I missed the deadline - I did make a start as you can see in the top version. The next step would have been a version with the initials, MSG, in the circles. The other version, bottom example, was just a quick idea but would need to be developed properly.

I'm also late. I did not realize the deadline was so soon. I do want to share my version. I think a strong logo needs a recognizable icon that could stand alone. It should also 'tell' something about the subject. I put 'photography, talk, discussion and the initial of the logo 'M' in an icon. The camera is standing on an M that functions as a tripod. The lens is a text balloon. Didn't want it to go to waste so I'm just sharing it anyway. I just found out it was closed just now.

LOL, being late is the story of my life!  Nice concept. Looking at Leaf's other choice of designs, I have noticed he leans towards "slick looking"

128,104 and 27. Graphic is fine on these but I would loose the 70's typeface and dower colours and go for a modern typeface and fresher colours.

I actually quite like Reef's second option above better than the finalists.

Yeah, helpful, me...

I don't see nor the idea of image (photo, illustration, etc) neither the idea of group in none of these logos.
Take some more time to get something that suit better to these concepts.
Is it a so big problem for you if you have the new logo today or in two weeks?
