Title: keywording issues at fotolia
Post by: diego_cervo on July 19, 2008, 04:14
Hi all,
I wonder what's going on at fotolia recently. Even if I always separate multiple keywords by comma, I'm still getting this kind of email after any submission:

"Hello,
please separate multiple keywords by semicolon or comma.

It seems there is a problem with photo #content_id, which you submitted.

However, this photo has not been accepted yet due to one or more Editing issues:

the information is not precise enough.
the information is incomplete
the index information does not correspond well to the photograph submitted
spelling mistakes

You still have the option of modifying or of supplementing this information while clicking on Edit in front of your photograph under the heading My Photos."

Did some of you got the same messages?

Further, I noticed that sales have dropped around 40% so far...do you know if they changed something in the search engine?

thanks,
diego

I haven't been submitting there in the last month, so perhaps this message is something new - I've never seen it.

Regarding sales dropping, mine have dropped somewhere over 50% this month, so I assume they've changed the search engine. Others have been reporting really good or really bad sales - there's always a winner when the search engine roulette wheel spins :)
