The gauges are back in place.  To get them to show you have to go to your profile settings and enter your dreamstime and iStock user names.  You can also choose to hide your portfolio links but still show your gauges (like before). Once you enter your user details it may take up to 30 minutes to get your gauges in place as it is run on an automatic update that only gets processed every 15 minutes.

There is also three options to show what your primary media type is.

I have both IS and DT user names entered, but I don't see gauges for my forum posts - I can see your gauges. I had my portfolio links in place from when you updated the site, so unless I need to delete and re-enter them to get the gauges to appear, I'm not sure what I might have missed

Did you do it more than half an hour ago as they take a while to show? Mine aren't showing yet but I only did them about 20 minutes ago.

Thanks,  Will the other sites have dials or just these two?

Presumably just these two, as the other sites don't show downloads.

Wow!?
How it is possible that my gauge from IS is at 2 o'clock now  :o  and last or two months before was between 10 and 11 o'clock slightly bigger than DT!? And I dont have any major peeks in sales there. (maybe only I have record months of 8 and 10 cent sales there)
I dont know how you script calculate this ratio btw DT and IS.
I can only tell that IS earns only 7% more than DT in my case for all time, which is not visible now in this gauge settings. From this readings looks that IS in my case earned 1.5-1,7 or more factor more than DT and that isnt true even in rough approximation.
Something is definitely wrong with new gauges.

It's getting better and better, Leaf! I do miss the DT and IS ranking, though :)

Oh, you've got a point. We all seem to be at 2 o'clock in this thread for example, and I know I'm way behind JoAnne and Leaf, for sure; and maybe the others too.

Maybe o'Leaf invented some kind of "dynamic gauge" which are changed at every post depending which MS big/bigger dog answering at post  ;D
Something like SS is no at 100% anymore.
Or when we little fishes jabbering here in this thread we have gauge near max, but if some big fish come here with his post our gauge will automatically/dinamically shrink down where we lets say belongs  ;D

thanks for the heads up on the speed dial error.  The stats are being collected corect, I was just calculating the dial incorrectly.  Everyone's dials should be updated properly soon.

Gauges / dials mean nothing!

There is a certain someone with over 10,000 images that are cheesy and yet there are some people with far less than 1,000 or in some cases less than 500 images that blow the 10,000 away!

So what does it prove other then having bragging rights about how many more you have than someone else?

Tells me that I got started too late.  It will take me another 7-10 years to get there.  I'm not sure I have that many years left.   :P

Oh... and it tells me that someone is really serious about this.   :-X

I guess it would need a mixture of dls, number of files and time uploading although even that wouldn't be accurate as somebody could have opened and account 5 years ago and not uploaded until recently and visa versa.
What are the levels needed to get to the top end of the dials? Maybe the dial limits need to be higher now that so many people are reaching the maximum.
ETA  where's my IS dial gone? It was there this morning

The dials are an addition of portfolio size and sales.  If someone has a port of 1,000 and great sales they will have a nice gauge.  Knowledge is gained from both creating content and selling it and the gauges can reflect that.  Obviously you still need some common sense when evaluating what someone says but it is at least a pointer in the right direction.

Since iStock is down lots today it is getting a reading of nothing.. so your gauge disappears.

The top gauge level is 25,000 (sales+files).  I could raise the levels but that would make the in between steps so large.  Anyone with 25,000 combined stats has been around a while or has been around short and really managed to figure things out quickly.

It's back now :)
I had forgotten that port size was figured into it and thought that it was justs dls.  It would be impossible to get a real reading whatever you decided to do. The dials mean either  that the person is getting a lot of images approved or a lot of sales or both so it shows that the person takes stock seriously which is exactly the point of having them.

I am far from 25,000 sales + files, so why is my gauge pegged almost all the way to the right? Before the recent update, it was just entering the yellow area on the left side.

I think that was an error in the code from before.  Your stats just weren't up to date.  It's fixed now.
