The classic moaners here are either IS bronze or joined somewhere around 2010-2011, when all troubles started. They display feelings of infriority coupled with a sort of schitzophrenic wannabee among the big lads.
Leaf should do something about these people since they are dangerous to the rest of us.

The usual ridiculous post.............

So you finally made your way down the Welsh mountains and added an intelligent post!   " infinitus est numerus stultorum"  and you have just confirmed my earlier post, people with the smaller ports and not much experience has always got a LOT, to say. Funny that. ;D

moaning about flaws in site functionality is entirely justified given the massive percentage sites take from contributors - it's their frickin' job to sell our photography, so if they screw up uploads, search or any other facets of the sites I'd say we have every right to moan as it affects the money we make from photos we've taken the time to shoot, keyword, upload, etc.
ETA - personally I try not to moan...no point being negative and I don't imagine the sites care much what I say; but I respect other people's right to do so ;)

@CD123 - I definitely get your point, having wasted some time recently in exactly the type of thread you mean.  In fact, I think it was probably the thread that prompted you to start this one.  And yeah, it was pretty ridiculous, and the original complainer didn't seem to want any constructive help, just to gripe and argue endlessly with anyone who happened to stray into the thread.

But overall I tend to agree with Click Click and others that the good of having a forum to air our complaints and issues outweighs the bad.  For every pointless kvetch, there are probably dozens of important or significant issues raised.  Any effort to curtail the complaints would inevitably stifle some useful threads.

Personally, I am going to make a personal policy that if attempts to be helpful fail, I will try not to bump the pointless whiny threads.

Hi Lisa!

Just look at this thread alone, you got people who joined half way through 2011, small ports, hardly any experience at all, then they come here, moaning and groaning, thats fair enough but when they start beefing around with established members, etc, its gone to far, they should just listen and learn.

On the other hand, there are "established members" here who will stay self opinionated @ssholes even if they add 50000 more posts and stay member for another 500 years.  Guess one will have to take every case on its merit and also note how many "established members" actually agrees with each other on the advice give.

>:(

Imagine my disappointment upon reading this thread and discovering it has nothing whatsoever to do with ... the kind of moaning I was thinking of.  ;D

Were you thinking of ghosts?

True!  but I rather deal with an established, @sshole,  then a pimply nosed punk, fresh out of school. :D
