Title: Poll: order of agencies without earnings rating
Post by: amabu on October 05, 2015, 03:47
I know the agencies without an earnings rating in the poll result list havenīt received enough votes. (By the way, how many votes are needed?)

But are they in any particular order? By number of votes? Or average earnings?

A site needs 50 votes to get an earnings rating.

The sites without an earnings rating are listed in order of what their earnings rating would be if they did have enough votes.  That is to say, Stocksy has the highest earnings rating of the sites that don't have 50 votes.

Avg. earnings from Stocksy can be higher than from SS?

Stocksy is midstock site with prices between 10-100 dollars. Artists receive 50%. Extended licenses are much higher and can be over 1000 dollars.

The agency has less than 1000 hand picked artists, unlike ss,istock etc...not everyone can join.

It is more like macrostockeagencies or smaller, specialized agencies like blendimages, tetra, spacesimages etc...

Income is much higher than on the micros, the lowest you get is 5 dollars , often average downloads are between 12-20 dollars.

Thanks, but according to leaf's explanation, monthly avg. income from Stocksy can be higher than SS (it doesn't have enough votes).

There are artists who have files on both. All I hear is that money from stocksy is much better than on SS.

My own portfolio of 100 on stocksy often beats 1200 on SS.

And that includes income from video, that stocksy doesn't offer.

The agency to compare with are offset, gettyimages, corbis, not the micros.

Wow, that's impressive.

I also get months without sales, because the portfolio is still too small. But I donīt think it is a question where you can earn more money.

You only have 681 images on SS, don't you?

yes, but I also have around 500 videos.

1195 files in total on SS.

I still have 4000 files on istock, but SS is easily beating them every month. Very sad.

Thanks, Leaf!

50 votes seems quite a lot. How many users do contribute to the poll on average?
