Snap village has been responsive to critics and made some changes to its operations; ie watermarks and itpc data. My question is when do they shed beta and go live. When they do what will they do for contributors and how will they generate customers? With all of the competition how will they standout?

They are owned by Corbis, one of the biggest stock sites around with lots of customers.  If just a small percentage of those customers use snapvillage, they should have lots of buyers.

Corbis is owned by Bill Gates, so there should be no problems finding the cash for advertising in the designer magazines.

If they were owned by a small company with no money, I wouldn't upload to them but I think they will be trying to grab some of the market and as they allow prices up to $50, it isn't just microstock.  Not many sites let us pick a price that high, so I hope they do well.
