Hi, does anyone have any comments about 4shared.com, how safe their password-protected folders are, how good  their reputation is?

I want to use it to send files to clients, but I don't want it to end in Google images or Bing.  The files will stay only a couple of days, but anyway...

Why not set up a private FTP account on your server?
