Title: Can microstock site using FXP
Post by: leolintang on September 25, 2009, 12:57
I have some hosting space, im uploading 1 of my image to my server.

Im trying to upload my image using FXP (transfer from 1 server to another without downloading first) to SS
but its failed

"server response : illegal PORT command" (im using forklift for mac)

The question is :
Can microstock site using FXP? Are there any trick to using FXP?

isyndica look nice and simple, but if using Amazon S3 will be cheaper  ;D

not as far as i know, there's been a couple of threads about this on here, have a search for fxp. if you have shell access on your hosting account there is nothing stopping you from ftping to all your sites if you enjoy writing a good shell script ;) come to think of it you could probably get something working even if you didn't have shell access.... But batch ftp uploads from your own machine, prostockmaster et al, picniche or isyndica costing like 1c per image it's all a lot of effort for not much gain/saving?
