Title: DirectX
Post by: madelaide on July 06, 2009, 21:47
I was going to install Corel Movie Factory trial version, but it said it needed to install MS DirectX Feb2006 Runtime.

Uncertain, I stopped the setup.  Shouldn't I have DirectX already in my computer (WinXP SP3)?  How can I know which version I have, if I do?

BTW, I tried their Photoalbum 7 software, originally a ULead software (like Movie Factory), but it can only make photo slideshows (not photos+videos) and create a DVD with these slidehows and single videos (no video composition like in Movie Maker) to be watched separately (maybe one after the other, I don't know - I haven't tried it that far because my goal is photos+videos).

Try to run "dxdiag" at the command prompt.

Thanks.  I have version 9.0c, and their requirements on the website say simply DirectX 9.  I'll email them ans ask.
