Hi guys,

I ve been browsing to find  a plugin to simulate a bright sun other then the halo effect of CS3.
A example of a photo is below, any idea how it is done ?
Cheers

Draw a white  spiky circle in a separate layer , and blur it out. Try with few irregular ones one over another with reduced layer opacity and play with blending options  ,but  I think normal mod will work here.

If it doesnt look too good try adding a layer mask , and use a radial gradient on it , so you will get fading effect.

You can save it as psd so you will be able to use it again without having to draw every time .

I have no idea, but it looks horrible. A much better idea would be to go out and photograph the real sun in different skies and daytimes and then combine those images with other photos.

This particular example looks very un-natural and I wonder why anybody would want to repeat it.

I support either of the suggestions above.

because it sells!

however, i do agree that the more natural the better and if you can get a few good sun shots to use as your own stock when creating your pics, you will be much better off.

I agree it looks a bit fake... Here is one of mine which sells well with natural sun :)

Have you tried photographing the real thing then blending it is?

MicrostockExp

Yes I thought about it, I have to work more on my limited Photoshop skills I guess :)
