Hi everyone! 
My mother lenguage is spanish and sometimes i found dificult in keywording, so my question is:
is there any software to help me with this? like a keyword generator or something like that...

another question: does the order of the words matter?

Canstock has a keyword generator when you submit/edit photos.  I never tried it, but I read good comments about it.

I believe that on istock and fotolia you can keyword in Spanish, then you can change the language to english and copy the keywords for any other site you upload to.

There is a really nice tool at google.

If you have a specific object like, lets say rocket, type in in the google search engine: " define: rocket"
You get all kinds of definition of rocket. through the definitions you can pick up keywords which describe the object.

also beware of the difference between the american english meaning of a word vs the british english meaning.  ie. potato chip vs crisp, elevator vs lift.  wikipedia has a good write up on some of the differences to help you.

also you can use your microsoft word thesaurus or some of the programs mentioned above.

LOL  ..I was just  joking about this on another thread.... even though we both speak "english"....   the lingua franca of the U.S. and U.K. is not always interchangable or understandable...  and can sometimes lead to humorous results...  LOL  -tom

definitely tom.  i've seen some very funny ones that only one side of the pond gets the humor behind the way the word is used. there is a great wikipedia entry that highlights some of the bigger ones but gives a great list.  i'll see if i can find it.

Lightroom has proved to be the simplest & fastest way to keyword images. Most of all if you plan to save time use Yuri's keywording tool and embed the keywords in lightroom.

Keywords should describe what is physically and prominently visible in the image. Try to avoid use of subjective words unless they are relevant to the image.

Always keep yourself in buyers shoes and think if you want to buy an image what keywords would you type to find an image. If you feel you would not use certain keywords avoid them. Hope this helps
