I've used Pro Photo Tools for ages and this morning it started freaking out on me. Instead of saving my description data it was taking the title data and duplicating it in the description. Reinstalling didn't work so I thought I'd browse around to see if anything new was out.
Found iTag and it seems to work pretty good for microstock purposes. Simple layout that doesn't clutter things up with text boxes for fields you never bother using anyway. You can apply batches. Not a bad little freebie for anyone interested.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to give it a try. I'm currently using Photo Mechanic, but it's a bit slow...

Reminds me of the keywording and description like what Capture NX has. That has always been a feature I liked about Capture, but I don't like to use it for editing that often. It'll sure make things easier. I'm going to give it a try...thanks for the link xposurepro

Does is copy keywords from an existing file of our choice? I love that in Exifer.

Gave it a go, but it crashed !! :( seems a bit unstable !? :-\

I haven't used Exifer so I can't really compare the two. iTag uses a thing called a Tag Basket .. or something like that .. that you can store keywords into and then apply them to images .. copying keywords from an existing image into a new group of images would only take a couple clicks using it.

Exifer once ruined a series of my photos writing the metadata back. Since then, I stay far away from any undocumented amateur programs that want to meddle directly with my photos. I just wrote my own script (http://www.flemishdreams.com/tag) to quickly tag and reorder/spellcheck my tags. For actually writing the metatags into the images, I only trust Irfanview. Of course, the vested commercial programs from Adobe should be bug-free too.
