I normaly make my videos (mixing photos and videos) using Window Movie Maker, but it lacks some functionalities as multiple images in the same frame. I have more flexibility in PPT and in the past I used Flashspring to create executable flash presentations.

These however are not suitable to Youtube, so I started looking for another solution. I tried Wondershare's PPT2Video and it looks exactly like Acoolsoft's PPT2Video, although version numbers are very different (5-something in Wondershare, 2 in Acoolsoft).

My first results with Wondershare, in version 4-something, had problems with some photos not appearing. They said the latest version would have solved this, and indeed I didn't have this again, but then another problem appeared: at some point along the video, images would get reduced or increased (therefore cropped). I had to redo the same video 2 or 3 times to the a correct version, so I wasn't very satisfied, although their technical support is very responsive (they even asked me to FTP one file for them, both the original PPT and the AVI created with the software).

Do you guys have any suggestion about a good software to do this?

My idea would be to run the presentation and capture the screen with a background video-recording process. Don't ask me which is the software but I know there are a lot of such software, I often see presentations of 3d-software, graphics editing, etc.

But for youtube you don't need very high quality so take a p&s camera and record your monitor while running the presentation

I know there are such softwares, but I suppose they are much more than I need (and probably more expensive) as they also record voice and mouse clicks, etc. I will take a look anyway.

Recording the presentation with a camera isn't a good choice - I like the videos to look well.

You might want to try Wink. It is a free screen-capture software which do the job quite well. Capable capture your screen ,annotate it with text, graphics and voice/audio and then produce a SWF file. Quite resource-hungry.
I guess you will have to learn it for a few hours, but once you are done it can be a very handful tool for your purposes.

Back to an old thread.

Does anyone know Moyea PPT to Video Converter and/or PPTmovie 2.2? The first had a few but good reviews in Cnet.com, however the company's website doesn't show the product anymore (http://www.moyea.com/).
