I have no clue as to what is going on. Running Adobe Lightroom 2.5 with no problems until today.

What happens is Photos will not load all the way. Even in Library Mode the Images stay a little fuzzy. When I pop one over to Develop.. the photo shows.. a little fuzzy when brought to full size and the "Loading" never goes away.

I have not installed any other programs. It was working fine yesterday. I changed the cashe size to give it more.. purged the cashe... even put Windows XP on Performance mode. Restarted to clear the ram. Did not fox the problem. Uninstalled LR then reinstalled.. no fix.

Searched the net on google but could not find anything about a problem like this.

The only other things I can do is run a boot time virus scan with avast and run combo fix if there is something Avast didn't catch.

I did clean out (or thought I did) a nice Virus last week which slowed me down and routed my internet connections to an empty proxy every time I went to use Firefox. No problems after that so I dont know if its related to this somehow.

Any Ideas on what the problem might be?

Edit: Going to run the Boot Time Scan and run Combofix to see if there is anything there... might be a while coming back to check this thread.

You can try optimizing the catalog.
If you have older backups you can try loading an older version of the catalog.
Maybe it got corrupted somehow.

Yea.. I tried that too. Thanks though.

I did find something with avast in a Java Program. Infected but did not say with what. Still didn't speed things up.

I think I am going to take off Lightroom and Photoshop (again) with something from Adobe to set for a clean install. Clean out crap on the HD I am not using and then Defrag. Reinstall LR and PS and see what happens. I wish I knew what the root problem was though.

Before doing anything else you might want to try trashing your preferences.....seems to be a fix for alot of problems.

Too Late  :D. If this does not work.. who knows. Maybe it would be time to start saving for rebuilding a new computer.

I did full clean installs of PS and LR. Even upgraded to 2.7 on LR... still is slow as crap. I got to try more tricks I found.

I still have a way to work my raw files for now with ACR.. just I want to use lightroom.. Its great...oh well.

I am not sure you can find an Essay on the problem. I am going to see if I can fix it after I eat a SPAM Sandwich.
