I was searching for my photos online and found by accident this photo gallery builder:

Visual Lightbox

Not for those who don't like flash!  It looks neat, but I can't say whether it is better or worse than other solutions.

it's free for personal use and you can get the business license free too (it's US$25) if you help translate it to other languages.  Someone however already did it for Portuguese.

These are to share information and not affiliate links  ;D

Have a look at this one for a free option:
SimpleViewer

This one for a cheap <$40 paid option:
SlideShowPro for Flash

SlideShowPro for Light Room < $40:
SlideShowPro for Lightroom

Checkout the forum and thumbnail grid options.

For SlideShowPro they have a flash standalone you can set defaults, but you need flash to customise it for other uses see the show and tell section, there is also SlideShowPro web based upload software called director, if you can create a database and install the files <$40.

I designed two free applications for slideshowpro, a paypal shopping cart, and a standalone application to download from my website, it will create galleries and albums, it will resize and create the folders, images, thumbnails and the xml file.

Adeptris,

I was not advertising them, nor getting any referral.  I only saw something for free that might be interesting for other users.

No Flash to see, just good old javascript.  :P

And there was no referral in your link at all. Woowoo.

Hi Madelaide,
I understand that, I was just adding a few more options to the post, sorry I did not explain better, but the note was not aimed at you.

It was just so anyone reading would know that I did not have a hidden agenda and do not stand to gain from the links.

I often see posts where there is an affiliate link, and it makes me wonder if the post is about passing on information or about the affiliate ID, I tried loads of gallery applications that did just not do what they were meant to, slideshow pro is one I have used and developed and I know that there is good support for it.

I do have affiliate accounts I could add into links, but I would only use these on my own websites.

Regards

David

Ok, Adeptris, it seems I misunderstood you.
