Old software no longer legal:

So even if you purchased the software outright you are not allowed to use it!

It appears to apply to CC or creative cloud subscription software only?

Earlier none CC should not be affected and they are referring to "you run the risk of claims of infringement by third parties."

But anyway I don't care, I saw through what Adobe were doing a long time ago and I'm happy with my standalone product which still works just fine and will do in to the future :)

I don't think that's correct.

Look at the table in the blog post. All those "CCxx" versions are subscription products. Lightroom 6.x, Photoshop CS6.x Illustrator CS6.x etc. are all still licensed and they can't do anything to change that (given the nature of the license at the time of purchase)

I took it to mean the subscription versions as well. I still use CS6 and will continue to do so.

Minor detail:

Finally, we advise that you un-install unauthorized versions and delete pre-existing packages to prevent future accidental deployments.

No secret that sometimes people having a payed plan, also keep in parallel more Adobe products for testing evaluating or whatever legally or not justified reasons.

Perhaps a side way to minimize pirated versions.

After all, early CC versions were full of bugs if I remember right.
