Title: Do you use a controlled vocabulary to add keywords in Lightroom?
Post by: S. on February 23, 2017, 20:41
I just found out about this: https://lightroom-keyword-list-project.blogspot.com.com/ (it's quite old, I know)
And I was wondering if anybody is using a controlled vocabulary of keywords in Lightroom.

Seems a good way to give an order to the keywording process, but I see a lot of possible limitations and problems along the way...
Any direct experience with controlled vocabularies?

I don't have experience in the Mstock world but outside of that. I would say that controlled vocabularies have too much administrative overhead to work efficiently...as far as I know only Veer and Istock used them and it didn't or doesn't go well with either. They are loved by librarians but undermined by powerful search engines.

Tried it in LTR, not worth the time.
