Title: ON1 Photo RAW, best alternative to Lightroom and Photoshop?
Post by: Brightontl on October 27, 2021, 10:21
On1 Photo RAW, the perfect solution for all my needs in terms of photo editing as well as photo and video management.
A better solution and a much cheaper alternative to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop

DaVinci is a video editor.
I have tried Gimp and I found it extremely basic with an interface that looks like software from the 80s. In my opinion, On1 RAW is in a completely different league

As one who each year earns a free photography (PS & LR) subscription from Adobe, I'm quite happy to stick with those tried-and-true products.

For video editing, several years ago I chose Apple's Final Cut Pro, because it was a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Very happy with that choice, too.

Besides LR and PS, when shooting raw on Fuji I tend to use Capture One as it seems to handle those better, less harsh and more natural results, basically no learning curve also.

Did you try DxO PhotoLab Elite 5?
It probably has the best AI based RAW noise reduction algorithm in the industry and an excellent lens distortion and aberration control.
On top of that it, also has the famous Nik control point technology now working on RAW files.
