Title: X-Rite Colormunki Photo - Monitor Calibration
Post by: Rob Caven on March 04, 2018, 03:32
Hi all,

I have just calibrated an iMac 27 inch Mid-2011...for the first time since buying it in the same year. When comparing the before and after, the difference was imperceptible, nothing I could see at all.

Has anyone experienced similar? I am asking because I was expecting (was led to believe) that the initial correction would be quite noticeable. If this is normal then hats off to Apple :) If it is not normal then perhaps there is an issue with the device or the software.

Thank you, Rob.

I saw a pretty dramatic color shift when I first applied Colormunki to my 2013 MacBook Pro.  It's been stable since, but that first adjustment surprised me.  If you're not sure the calibration worked, try taking a photo of a gray card after adjusting the white balance in your camera (or later in Lightroom or Photoshop).  If the gray looks gray, all's well.  If not, maybe there's a problem with your Colormunki.
