Hey folks
I'm happy to present you a new service: Stock Photo Ideas (https://stockphotosideas.com/ (https://stockphotosideas.com/)). The main purpose is to provide contributors with very detailed analysis of relevant content, existing competition and customers demand 2 months in advance before the topic will be relevant.
You will get lots of subniches analyzed e.g. for such a saturated topic as Memorial day you will find that there is "memorial day cartoon" that is being searched by lots of customers and has only 4,800 existing works (in comparison to 403,000 of existing works for "memorial day" itself) or that there's still room in COVID-19 subtopic of "vaccination scar" being searched by many customers and having only 500 existing works.
Take a look at a newsletter example here: https://stockphotosideas.com/newsletter-example/ (https://stockphotosideas.com/newsletter-example/) to get a feeling how does it look like (analytics for almost 70 niches for May 2021). Newsletter itself is created by Xpiks (this forum's thread: https://www.microstockgroup.com/software/xpiks-open-source-software-for-microstocker/ (https://www.microstockgroup.com/software/xpiks-open-source-software-for-microstocker/)).
This newsletter will provide right tips at the right time so you will create only relevant content that will get sold.
I'm very curious to hear what you think about it!

I think this is a great idea, I like it. I tried to make a basic one for myself without checking the real data :) This one can work, keep going.

Hi Steve. It's not exactly a competition to your premium membership since we provide a very detailed analytics of customer searches. It's not just a list of ideas 2 months in advance. People can see precisely what customers are searching.
Cheers,
Taras

No problem, Taras - good luck with it! I had my tongue in my cheek!

Doesn't this fall under Brutally Honest, how to make money in Microstock? Publish a Newsletter? ;D Or write a blog?

Mine will be only $3.99 I'd like to start a traditional, destruction of everyone's profits, race to the bottom. LOL
My tool business is almost dead, as the big catalog, warehouse and discount houses, killed off all the small distributors. Let me explain in some better detail. Non-Stocking distributors got 25% off. The big places, offered customers 35% off. Below the distributors cost. (I was a stocking distributor) Another company, that I sold for, gave the large accounts and catalog houses, a better discount. In effect, those places advertised prices, that were less than my cost. DEAD to me, one buy one I had no customers.
I can't blame the customers or buyers, why would anyone pay the list price or the discounted price, with free shipping, when they can still do better from a giant distribution network? The market has changed in so many ways, for almost everything.
