Title: Interview with Photographee.eu
Post by: StockPerformer.com on October 12, 2015, 03:32
This week we interviewed Kasia and Lech, from Photographee.eu. This is a perfect example of going from "Hey lets upload some pics" to a 12 person stock production company producing great content successfully!

Have a read to learn how they did it and let yourself be inspired!

Another great interview, thank you very much!

It is very impressive how much stronger Shutterstock is to all the other agencies, much more than the 50% most people here are reporting.

It just shows again that you need a steady and huge volume of files uploaded there every week to earn the real money. So for stock factories it seems to be an excellent source of income, for the single artist it is extremely hard to get noticed.

I guess for micro stock the future will be to sign up in teams and the single artists migrating to macro stock or highly specialized niche agencies. Or they just leave and do something else.

Unless of course, some agencies comes up with a clever idea to subdivide their marketplace into many, many smaller cells of visibility by crowdsourcing the editing. Then there would be much bigger interaction between buyers/producers and a much higher visibility of files depending on the million themes and galleries people will create and follow.

I am surprised that nobody has bought pininterest, they seem to know how to do that.

12 people in poland probably cost 12.000€ per month, in my country it would be at least double.

35.000 images is max 35.000$ income , no go  in my country.

how much cost educated worker in Poland?

I believe it would be polite if you provide the name of your country first. BTW, the 1000 euro in some places in Spain, for example, considered as "OK" income. Not "great", but OK. Making 1000 euro per month won't make a living in my country (Canada), but will give me enough to live in many other places, including some European countries. How much do you cost in your country?

Average salary in Poland is less than 1.000/dollars month. And possibly, some of these 12 workers work part time or by the hour. Just my guess.

Here, in Romania, average salary is around of 400 - 450 $ / month. So, I believe, it could be a good business.

Well, I would be careful with such statement as "even in Poland" :). It is one of the fastest growing economies in EU. I suppose it is already in a much better condition than Greece, Portugal etc.

I agree!
From what I know, is the only country (from EU) that has not entered into recession in 2008 and after...
