I can hardly believe it, but Stockfresh seems to be reviving for me. I have had sales nearly every day this month.
Is there some advertising initiative going on, or am I just getting lucky? Anybody else notice some improvement there?
-
No changes for me, still barely any sales :-(
-
Yes, I have growing sales too. Still very slow and no big thing, but it is growing undeniably :-)
-
In my case it's the opposite - October has been completely dead - not one download so far this month (and even for a dead site like StockFresh, that's not typical for me). Glad you're seeing something stirring, but I'm thinking their best bet is to change what they're selling - they should sell the engine for their stock web site to aspiring artists, cooperatives and agencies. Looks decent and works well - certainly beats the heck out of k-tools :)

Cool idea :-) Line me up as a customer :D
-
about 3-5 dollars a month here. Whoopie!!
-
My portfolio is too small to be statistically relevant in the big picture but I'm seeing activity. I had a few sales in March & April and then nothing all summer but in the past 2 weeks I've had a few sales. I was wondering if it was attributed to a marketing push or just a seasonal bump.
-
No changes for me!
-
Between 1 and 6 sales each month, with no noticeable improvement
Thanks for starting this thread, so I remembered to push my daily dose of pictures through their upload process
-
nah dead as a door nail.
-
Is there some advertising initiative going on...............
I doubt it, I may be wrong but I think they're waiting for the 'second coming' or whatever their latest excuse is for not doing any marketing.
Lisa I can only imagine that your 'sales success' there is connected to a freak miracle whereby someone somehow stumbled upon the Stockfresh site by accident, I hope it continues for you but I'm guessing you'll be back with the rest of us (i.e. pathetic sales figures) that were taken in by their initial hype and now can't be bothered to waste the time to delete our stuff.
-
Not for me. Except for the occasional EL I barely make 10$ a month there. Not even 4$ yet for October.
-
Much as usual for me, Lisa. Glad to hear their sales fairy is sprinkling magic dust on you though! :D
-
Nothing improving. I think I am at $5 for the month. My monthly average is $8 to $10.
-
No improvement for me but I'm still keeping the faith. Would be nice if a few of the FT buyers that can't find my portfolio anymore went to SF. Perhaps "If you build it, they will come" should now be "If you build it and spend a small fortune in marketing, they might come".
-
Sorry to hear the sales bump is not universal. Sounds like a few of us are seeing it though. Hopefully it will spread.
-

I almost cannot believe that you have 7000+ photos on that site and didn't even get sales daily. to me, it's still very dead. ;)
-
No the bump isnt universal thats for sure. SF, is in fact the one and only agency that does not increae in sales, all others do however slow but they do.
Must say I expected more from the old SX team, they sure have the experience in this field.
-
I've seen a munificent $1.50 so far this month. What's sad is that $1.50 is a pretty good month for me at SF.
-
I the moment it is about $0.50 - $3.00 per month for me.
-
No sales for me this month.
-
Nope no increase and also no sales in October either. Same 'ol same 'ol.
-
Nope. Nothing. Stopped uploading to SF.
-
I have a few bucks sitting there. I uploaded a bunch more photos a couple of months back, hoping to kick it in the butt and see it move. Nothing. Still where it was the beginning of the year. :(
-
No movement there for me.
-
Not sure why but my application was rejected. Never recieved a reply from support. Maybe someone from adminastration will see this and reply.
-

Which was why I had about left them for dead. I am pleasantly surprised that sales have picked up as they have. Hopefully it is a good sign and other smaller ports will begin to see things pick up too.
On the subject of daily sales, there are a few sites at the bottom of the pile that I don't see sales on every day - Crestock, GL, Pixmac, for example.
Lets face it, these little sites aren't the ones anybody is making their real money off of. They are just some additional pocket money. However, it is still nice when they pick up.

thats a shame because I would love to have a topic from you telling about your 1st sale there! ;D

Great idea. I think they could probably make more selling their software than they are selling photos.
-
OK, people were being pretty negative about StockFresh earlier this month.
I have been having the exact opposite experience for the past week or so. I've racked up around $35 in commissions since Oct 15, including $7.35 today, which might be my BDE there.
I'm wondering if anyone else has seen an improvement since Oct 15?
I really think this is a site worth sticking with. Keep it up, Peter!!! You're definitely doing some things right!
-
..I'm wondering if anyone else has seen an improvement since Oct 15?...
Yes - but...
Since October 15th I had two sales for a total of $2 (and that's the total for this month, which has been dreadful there). The only sites doing worse for me are no-hopers like Pixmac (where I have only 300 images anyway - an experiment that really didn't pan out) and Pocketstock.
Essentially dead - for me anyway.
-
very little happening there. Couple bucks a month. Haven't seen an increase at all, sadly.
-
Well, I am afraid I may have spoken too soon. Sales have picked up for me at Stockfresh, but unfortunately payouts seem to be delayed.
I've been waiting nearly two weeks for payout. This has never happened before. E-mail inquiries have gone unanswered.
It takes months to earn the $50 payout, but when finally earned, they have come within a couple of days. Also, their customer service was responsive. If those two things change it really isn't worth having my portfolio there anymore. I can find some other way to earn $200/year.
-
I've actually had 3 sales this month, the first in many months. Still nowhere near payout though.

Not good. Please keep us updated about the payout situation Lisa....
-
I am surprised that anyone is having issues with late payments or unreturned questions to customer support.
I recently requested a payment and got it less than a week later, and I have had a number of email exchanges with them that have been timely and professional, including a number with Peter himself.
Sales have been steady and growing. I should finish October with about $70 there. The last half of October has been especially good.
I'd encourage everyone to hang in there. Remember how good StockXpert was? I think Peter knows what he's doing, though it must be quite a bit more challenging these days to start a stock agency than it was when he started StockXpert.
-
Update: I was paid out this evening, and they replied to my second request promptly.
Guess it was just a hiccup.
-
I had two(!) sales already this month. I hope this is the beginning of a change.
-

Don't hold your breath. Honestly I don't see how they are surviving. I have made 35 cents this month with 2500 images.
-
I've reached payout few days ago. Hallelujah.
-
More likely to be just a SadFresh!
-
I nearly joined Stockfresh....glad I didn't now by the looks of things.
-
Two sales in November, one for 0.50 one for 1.00, total November sales $1.50
-
After three months without a single sale I just made $1.
Whoop whoop!
-
I just closed my account last week. After at least a year, still didn't make any where near payout. But I realize my portfolio is outdated, and a lot of the images just aren't up to the quality being submitted today. I am doing well at other places, so I will focus on those and drop the ones that aren't doing well.

SF is "deucing the futon" for me lately. Not sure what happened, but I went from multiple payouts per month to one payout every few months again.
Disappointing, really. I saw signs of life there, was optimistic about the SF going into the new year, but that's all gone now. Hopefully things will pick back up, but right now I'm not seeing anything to suggest that anything is going to get better any time soon.

LOL! Hilarious expression! Never heard that one before ;D
Sorry to hear sales are down though. Might be a search change, because my sales there have picked up a lot in the new year. In fact, it's about the only site I'm on (besides SS) that is seeing a pickup in sales.
-
Had 1 sale last week! That's 100% better than 2012.
-
Had 1 sale last week! That's 100% better than 2012.
So you had 0.5 sale in 2012??
100% better = doubled; 100% of 2012's sales = same as; from 0 to 1 is an infinite increase - anything times 0 is 0 :). As a percentage the increase is undefined is I think the way you'd say that.
-
lol on the math! Someone is a math teacher on this site. I am hoping to get accepted and start rolling in some major $$ since they are highly rated by you folks even better than all the low earners!
-
The problem with the poll is that it can be skewed by one good month for a few people. I'd like to see a 3 month or 6 month average, as that would flatten out the misleading peaks and troughs.
-
I'm way down at SF lately. I've earned a dollar there so far this month. I almost hate to admit it here because I was such a big cheerleader for SF last year. :)
No idea what's going on, but I'd love to hear from Peter about how they're progressing and if they are still seeing the same site-wide increases they were talking about previously.
On a positive note, last year I made the suggestion to Peter that search results pages should include the total number of results pages, not just indicate the page number that you are currently viewing, in between the arrow icons. The way it was, I thought it made it look like every search only had 1 page of results. It took a while, but they did finally make that change to the site and now a search result page indicates how many more pages of results there are. I think this gives buyers a much better idea of how deep their search goes and how big the collection is.
-
Just checked the graph, their saw tooth seems to be generally on the rise for me, just like GL.
Around the $50 mark last month
-
January - 12 sales (in 9 different days)
February - 1 sale
2012 - 52 sales

I'm sorry to hear that, Mike! Overall sales are increasing and although we did switch search engines last year the new one returns almost the same results so it's definitely weird to see such a huge drop. In theory one reason could be seasonality -- I know you have quite a few pics about the US elections for example. We also seem to be getting a lot more vector content these days than we used to and that might increase competition, but your work stands out so that shouldn't really be a problem. I'll try to look into this in more detail.
We are doing pretty good with the site, November and January being our best months ever. We've been out of the red for some time now so we are definitely going to stick around for quite a while. The fix you recommended (thanks for the feedback by the way) is not the only thing we did recently, among others we redesigned the entire purchase flow with a brand new shopping cart system, added several different new languages and our current goal is to improve search results. Although we beat most smaller micros in relevancy and options, there's always room for improvement, especially if we want to go after the big guys.
By the way kudos to the person who voted us into the top tier about the week ago, it was hilarious. Although we don't belong there, I'm pretty sure we don't belong to the bottom either, which is quite an unfair assessment of what we're doing. :)
-
Good to hear things are on the up for and thanks for stopping by to let us know.
I have seen the general increase in sales you are referring to, though as I say, still a lot of variation because it is a lower volume site (for the time being).
Hope the trend continues.
-
This is one site that I have been really routing for but so far low sales. I'm glad that the upload is so easy there so that I'm not tempted to give up on them. They also have one of the friendliest supports around.

Thanks, Peter, I appreciate you looking into it.

Thanks for the update. Although things are going slower than usual for me, it sounds like other people are seeing progress so that's a good sign. And the improvements to the site are great to hear about as well.
I'll just keep uploading and hope to see a turnaround in the coming months. I still think that SF will continue to grow, and I'm looking forward to getting those monthly payouts again. :)
-
Finally reached first payout today. Hopefully, the next one won't take as long. I really like SF and hope it can be successful.
-
what kind of sales you guys are getting? like 25 cents? extended license?
-
And just when I was starting to lose hope in SF...
Woke up this morning to find $90 in my account from 18 vector purchases. All from one buyer, who then contacted me asking about a custom image.

That's great mike. Good job.

And today I woke up to an EL and another vector sale.
Not sure what's going on, but I hope it keeps up. :)
-
Don't know what's going on at SF the last couple of weeks, but I hope it keeps up.

Very nice. I've never even reached 20$ a month at Stockfresh. Shame but they just don't seem to sell for me.
-
Happy to see that some people are doing great at stockfresh. Sad I'm not in that situation. I have 1000 images and I have 1 dld/month. Or none.
This is my port: http://stockfresh.com/gallery/taviphoto (http://stockfresh.com/gallery/taviphoto)
I'd like to have some feedback about the photos. I know they are not commercial, but 1 or 0 dld with 1000 accepted images seems strange from an agency witch made it in the middle tier.

I don't think we're in the middle tier, someone has been messing around with the voting system. :) We're a bit lower than that. There's nothing wrong with your images, it's just that not that many people search for these kinds of subjects (yet). Our customer base needs to grow to generate more sales for less popular topics.
-
It's not just me having good luck with SF lately. Peter reported a record month for the company (https://plus.google.com/u/0/110724918547343743889/posts/ar8uuX3cLoX), and while the poll here may not be entirely accurate, it might also not be as far off as we think.
-
.
-
Glad to see some of you are experiencing movement on SF. Sales, for me, remain pitiful...$4 to $7 a month.
-
0 downloads here weeks ago. I don't believe buyers only download business handshakes and vector labels... Is there something wrong with the search engine/contributor placement????
-
I just applied at stock fresh. So I hope you grow and are successful :)
I forgot to add that I have a round 3400 files. Does anyone know how long it takes to get accepted?
-
I'll admit that I never paid attention to Sotckfresh until they jumped in the rankings. I started uploading a few files a couple weeks ago (about 40). Still no sales, but it seems to be a well run site and I wish them success.

I had to email them, otherwise I was ignored, lost in the shuffle, or whatever reason they have. With your port I would email them.
