Title: SF middle tier?
Post by: fritz on January 29, 2013, 19:48
Is it for real? How come over night Stockfresh is doing better than P5,VR and PD. I doubt!
Any thoughts?

I agree. Also I got reject back in June of 2011 and they will not allow me to retry - not even one more attempt and I only attempted one time...

Nothing for me except a few bucks a month...as usual.

I've had 4 sales in January for a total of $1.70. I don't think that qualifies for any tier!

There are a few people (perhaps mostly illustrators?) who do well there, but I don't see any signs of life

Like Joann, I'm standing at 4 sales for $1.70.  I've started to see a few sales each month which is I took to be a sign of coming to life a bit.  I only have just over 250 images online there so I really didn't expect much yet so any regular activity has been welcomed as holding hope for a future.

Something weird going on for sure. Above Pond5, Envato? No way.

Lucky to get a couple of bucks a month.

Keep really hoping for things to improve there, decent site, good commissions - but just seems to be stagnant.

Believe it or not but last three months SF are really better earner than Veer and PhotoDune for me. But it's also caused by the fact that while sales on SF are slowly but steadily increasing - sales on PD and Veer are disastrous in December and January.

It would be nice if former stockxpert buyers that noticed how annoyed most of us are with istock were going to SF but there's no sign of that happening.  It looks like they're mostly going to SS.  I'd like to see a few sites that pay 50% commission and have good prices for buyers doing better.  Perhaps we have to think of ways to persuade buyers to use them?

No way is SF middle tier for me. I think I made more on p5 this month than I ever have on SF total in over a year.

It's simple just put your images on those sites and not the other ones. Only nobody wants to do that.  ;)

In order to be "middle tier" an agency needs to average just less than $30 per month according to the Microstock Poll Results.  I think top tier should average above $500 and middle tier should average above $100.

That sounds reasonable. I tend to look at agencies that way too.
