Has anyone got any sale to report from Stocksy? Their operations are in function now and it is live now. Some people have begun to report the initial status updates as they have uploaded the images there. I checked at least two. So far so good.
Is money coming? Is there any sale so far?

Anyone making sales at Stocksy yet?
-
a few people have reported sales. Not me though :(

i'm curious to see how Stocksy will either grow or die.
they're the last one in a long line of new agencies that popped up with small budgets and no clear business plans.
unless they've a few millions to invest to acquire customers i guess they'll not going far considering they expect photographers bringing in buyers in a "crowdsourcing" fashion.

Why and how did you get to this conclusion?

By the fact that they are a) Not RM b) Not Macro. Can't succeed then. ;)

Yep, averaging several sales a day. Some of them are conversions by me from people looking for images they had already planned on using.

That's good to hear Sean. :)

What? Just a few sales? What the ----? This site is doomed! What garbage. Everyone should delete their portfolios.
;)
Sorry, this thread just didn't feel right without all of the usual requisite doom-and-gloom.

Well there's the requisite quantity of visual tourettes , aka winking emoticons, so all is well.

what really matters is who the buyers will be : micro buyers ? midstock buyers ? random buyers searching something in between micro and RM ?
and how much is their budget ? will they come back or they're just seeking deals ?

I haven't had any sales there. After long and careful deliberation, I have determined that the major factor contributing to this situation may be the fact that I don't have any images on the site.

Nice to hear. iStock really put you in the perfect situation by terminating your account when they did. I only have 30 images on the site. I'd be happy to put in more but the work involved in deactivating the images on all the sites i contribute to simply isn't worth it. I started deactivating 5 images for the site and after 2 hours of work I decided I should just focus on giving them some new content.

Maybe Sean will create a multi-site deactivation script for you ;)

I was creating a link page with shortcuts to the deactivation on all the sites but you still need to know the image number which takes time to hunt down.

Had our first one.
