How are things going at Stocksy?  I've heard they are becoming very successful.  Anyone have any experience there?

i guess....good for big factory struggle for many independent based in western hemisphere country,...same sas micro stock....not a case that biggest factory are all from serbia russia ukraine...when your production cost are one tenth of other country you stil  can produce content.
i follow some photographer especially food and still life there who are very creative...their trend of uploading is totally downward with some not even uploading in the last year or uploading very few files.
i have the opportunity to submit to addictive stock and maybe sell indirectly there, but don't know if it's worth compared to upload my file in micro stock only.

Based on the two people who have rated Stocksy in the survey and gave it a 500 I assume it must be going very well - that is the highest by far of any agency listed.

All of their content is company owned. No distribution.

I don't understand what this means (sorry, English is not my main language). Could you please explain what it means?

I also contribute to Addictive, aren't they a distributor as other numerous distributors, for example Cavan?

Thanks

How's it going? I haven't many images there yet and I've been with them for a short time, so on my side it's going slowly as I expected.

It means they are not allowed to put work that they dont own onto Stocksy.

So, it means I would have to "pass on" copyright of my images if they were to be on Stocksy? I had never understood that before, but also I don't have any images via Addictive on Stocksy, only Offset and Adobe.

Yes, if you want your products to be in stocksy by addictive, they will not go to offset and adobe and also in a strange maneuver, you give them, addictive,  the copyright of your photos. They take 40% of your sales, and copyright.

I thought Stocksy was a CO-OP? Who in their right mind would give a company/agency copyright without a buy-out fee?

I am presuming they mean the "Microstock Poll Results" top right of this page.

yes I assumed that, how would anyone know the entries made?  how can we see that "2 people gave it a 500"?

Place your curser over the name of the agency (Stocksy) or of your choice and it will show '2 votes 500' as Stocksy does, or corresponding to agency etc. I am not sure how it works for $ value, but 500 does not mean the vote of 2 people presumes they made $500. There is a formula for the rating, and I have no clue what it is. for example IS Exclusive is currently at 75.6 and I make on average over the last year 15-25 times that per month in $ value on average, being exclusive, and don't vote. That said royalties are up and down like a yo-yo monthly, with an always lowering trend and in decline, sadly. But I also think that is par for the entire industry, sadly.
