I was still uploading but I think that I might stop for a while... I just got a mass rejections of 110 pictures... >:(

0 were accepted... the previous batch of about 120 pictures were accepted at about 85%

I hate that when this happens  :(

Still uploading, but doing it reluctantly. I like StockXpert, but I just have a bad feeling that we are all going to wake up one day soon to find that Getty has pulled the plug.

From a business perspective, I find this rather fascinating. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the Getty conference rooms when they are discussing their strategy for StockXpert. I just can't understand why they would want to keep it.

This whole thing reminds me of the American Airlines buyout of TWA some years back. AA swore up and down that they would keep TWA employess (and the St. Louis hub) intact, but...it didn't quite work out that way. Ultimately, they got what they wanted from TWA - some routes, planes, and a few employees - but they were very quick to eliminate what they didn't need or want.

Anyway, all we can do is sit and wait...

maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
we will all soon be wearing black for StockXpert, you would be wiser to submit to IStock .

I emailed support at StockXpert, asking how to close my account.  That was 5 days ago.  No response.

I don't want them in possesion of all my images when they go dark.

4772 images online... 3 sales so far this month... 1.5 $ earned... that says enough.

Somehow, a couple of months ago, StockXpert contributors got split into 2 groups. Before then, I was getting a normal number of sales for my small portfolio. After that point - no views, 1 sale per month.  For other people, nothing changed.

Maybe it was a database update that only made it halfway - or some other change perpetually in progress.  Maybe Getty just doesn't like me.  I don't care anymore, I just want out.  I guess I'll have to delete them all manually.

By now StockXpert still got plenty of sales every month. So i will submit images until sales decrease or stop.

My earnings are down on StockXpert, mostly because most sales are subscription these days. I really wish they never introduced subscriptions, my earnings dropped as a result, and never recovered. They are still worth uploading to for me, I hope Getty doesn't pull the plug.

Me too.  Sales keep coming there, but unfortunately the payouts don't.  Though they used to pay out in three days like clockwork, every payout for the past several months has been extremely late and only come after repeated requests to customer service.

I don't get this. For some, it's apparently business as usual, but for some, like me, it's completely dead. Even those photos that used to have very steady sales at StockXpert have grinded to a complete halt. It's a week or more between each sale for me now.

epixx, welcom to the land of the dead.  The weirdest thing is the complete lack of response from StockXpert.  It's  totally lame of Getty to buy a company and leave it twisting in the wind like this.  I'm only expecting more of this sort of craziness, as fallout from their recent acquisition binge.

I got paid by Paypal very quickly, I think it was three days from my request. I think it may depend on timing, if they are having payment once or twice a month you could end up waitig for the next run.

When was your last payout?  The slowdown seems to have hit around the third of August.

I'm still uploading there but the site is seriously flawed in several ways, mainly due to the abuse of a few contributors.

Yesterday I was researching how many views my recently uploaded images had had by doing a few searches and sorting them by "Date, descending". I noticed that one particular contributor had somehow managed to upload (and had approved) about 300 images from the same series of a couple of pizzas __ basically their entire allowance of 25-images-per day for 11 consecutive days! Obviously this has just shoved all the images approved before them so far down the search order that they are unlikely to be seen again. Just search for 'pizza chilli' to view them yourselves. IMHO this is crazy and is detrimental both to buyers and other contributors.

Celeste.

Celeste,   you've hit a topic that has been irking me since day one in the biz ..   4 dozen (or a lot more-300) of the same subject from angles changing a couple degrees! (and not with StockXpert in particular).
I was looking thru one of the sites that had popped up on another thread concerning ripped off images to see if any of mine were there.  I could not believe how many times a shot of some guy with headsets on showed up. And the fact was, it looked like the shooter took a pic, moved the cam 2 inches shot again, moved 2 inches and shot, again and again and again. I am not exaggerating. Honestly, there had to be a dozen and a half of the, essentially, same shot.  HOW does stuff like this get accepted and why?  There were several other subjects the same deal.
What an incredibly nonesensical waste of my time.   If I were a buyer, on a deadline, I'd be totally ticked and be looking elsewhere for images. NOT TO MENTION.... these images had nothing to do with the search I plugged in.  Hence, spam keywording.

On the topic of uploading to StockXpert...  I've gone into holding pattern... HOWEVER,  my sales have not declined there  and much to my surprise,  I'm still experiencing sales (this week) with JIU & Photo.com.  I thought that was supposed to be over by now?  While I have been with IS for a few years,  I'd still like to upload to StockXpert... they have been, more than not, my #3 sales site. It would be a shame in my book if they closed down.  8)=tom
