Title: Better check your new images: Search still broken
Post by: louoates on December 10, 2008, 19:21
I've had 0 views on new images accepted after November 8. Plus the images can't be found with keywords. They just show up in my image portfolio.

They said they were "working on it" last week. So far, no workie.

Better check yours.

Mine have been like that for months.  It takes a few weeks before any views and sales, and then that batch starts selling.  Every batch I have to wait quite a long time before they have views, but they do show up. :)

Both the search server problem and cache building problem have been fixed. All previously missing images should be visible in portfolios and through search.

If you are still finding missing images, please provide me with some image numbers so I can look into it.

FYI, I'm sure most of you know this already, but just in case, the search engine only searches keywords from the keyword list, not description or title--yet. Some contributors have been searching on terms in the title, but those terms were not in the keyword list, so the images were not appearing in the search results.

Again, let me know if you have any problems finding your images in the search and please provide image numbers.

Thanks!
-Steve

I did not made recent check for search, but my images are selling there nicely - still I hope it will improve due to EL which is introduced via Jupiterimages from these days...

StockXpert is one of the best and most fair agencies I work with.

StockXpert is perfoming so bad, so bad, for me this month that I am astonished.  It's my 5th earner, when it has been the first for months.  Not that the others have improved, but with half of the month gone I only earned 20% of what I did last month.

Regards,
Adelaide

I just started with StockXpert about a month ago and sales have been alright, but then that could also be due to tossing almost 500 fresh images onto the site.

Is this a little hint that StockXpert will someday start using title and description words somehow in the keyword searches?
