Title: Few noob questions
Post by: Peter on August 30, 2007, 03:37
Hi! I have just uploaded few images to StockXpert... And have a few questions:

1. How do I know the link of my portfolio? Where do I see it?

2. What is lightbox? It says at the bottom of the page:

This is your first lightbox. You can start adding images to it right away!

Expiry: September 14, 2007

Do I have to put images in lightboxes? Why?

3. Do I have to do anything else, except for upload, keywording, picking categories, and submiting, in order to sell my images? Do I have to do something else?

Hi Chode

Make sure that you have enabled extended licenses: go to your profile and then section 4 'License settings' and tick the box. If you don't do this your images will not be available for EL sales.

To see your port, select 'my images', on the left and then click my gallery on the upper right. You can copy the url for a direct link.

Lightbox is somewhere you can collect images for later viewing without having to do another search. You don't have to use it, its just a tool.

Also you can promote your gallery by going to the front of the home page and click on 'new' next to news and promo. This will allow you to direct people to either a specific image in your port or your entire port. You will see examples on the front page, and you are allowed to use this promotional tool once every week.

Hope this helps, its a good site and seems to be capable of maintaining consistant sales.

Stu
