I am just wondering how other people have been doing for June on StockXpert.  I have 90 images on there and I've only had 2 downloads since June 1.  I was expecting more from what everyone is saying but I haven't gotten any.  Are there any particular shots that sell better?

Is anyone having the same slowness-type thing as me?

Things will go up and down at all stock sites. I have 178 images with StockXpert and I get about 2 downloads a week. With 90 images you should expect around 1 download a week.

i have over 1000 images. On any given day i get between 0 and 30 downloads... so it varies a lot.  Perhaps a sign that they are growing??

Four sales so far this month with 639 photos on StockXpert so count yourself lucky

but with a mostly "travel orientated" portfolio I find with the exception of Shutterstock. Sales are very much peaks and troughs across all the other sites. In the case of CS, BS, PSM there are some very wide troughs with some fairly short peaks.

I have noticed quite a few disgruntled submitters complaining elsewhere photos that have earned three flames on iStock being refused by StockXpert though its a lot easier to build up a portfolio at StockXpert with 350 cf 30 uploads a week limit

I have been getting my portfolio online '50 a day' and have seen good sales potential there. I experience quite a bit of ebb and flow and therefore those with smaller portfolios will see a great variation in sales. But they are definitely getting traffic and that's good for me. My business people shots are definitely the ones selling the most.

Hey Leaf you have lost the number one position at StockXpert by one photo better get uploading!

On a more serious note StockXpert certainly get traffic as I found one image that has had 199 views in two months only 5 downloads  :o

Well

I hope then to get a few more photos up soon...I have about 15-20 that I took in cottage country, I'm gonna get those keyworded and up soon...my Shutterstock application should be coming back this week - within a day or two - so hopefully I get lucky and get in there that way I can recuperate some camera costs and buy more stuff  8)

I do agree that there is lots of traffic.  ANd I do like the rating system.  Which is why I would hope that Shutterstock implements something like that so that old photos dont' get lost in the system like they do now and you have to continuously upload to keep up good pace

Last week I averaged 1 photo download a day on Dreamstime with only 40 photos - but that was too good to be true as its stopped so far for this week

It was very slow in the start(I was there from the beginning, and at one time I was the top submitter), but now the dollars are coming along. I'll probably get a payout within August.

(Now, I am niche oriented and generally focus on textures, which is not at all a big business, but to me it's better than asking friends to pose for nothing.)

hey, i was the top submitter there once too :)

My glory days, however are long gone, and phildate and the gang have overtaken me.

I wonder what lucky person got the referral for some of these 2000 image portfolio photographers at StockXpert - kaching!

The first week of July was quite good at StockXpert with downloads every day then just two the last a week ago, I was hoping for another payout from them this month but not at that rate.  :'(

i believe stockxpert only pays out referal payments for credits purchased.. not pictures sold :(

No photag referal at StockXpert so no one is getting a cut of the big porfolios.

I get 1 or 2 DL a week on about 100 photos so it is slow going. My portfolio is also travel related so as far as stock goes, it doesn't have huge appeal.

Travel related portfolio - not a great earner tell me about it.

I must admit it was wishful thinking looking at StockXpert's table of visits, signup, credits and earnings thinking I might actually see some cash from referrals.

I think Big Stock has one of the strangest if your referred photographer gets 75 photos acceped you get $5 even if they haven't sold any.

Oh yeah, not too many dls, sometimes there is no dl in a week for me with 300 images, but then 5-10 in two days. But I am also niche oriented :-) Penguins, if someone searches them they certainly stumble over my images :-) But I like the payout / image

Xpert is doing fine for me .. the latest site that I join 2 months back after getting to know it from this forum.

Now it's my 4th highest earning site behind IS, SS and DT.

though the number of download is low, the commission per photo is high which explains the high earning. 200 downloads so far .. yipeee

I salute you thinking that 200 downloads in 2 months from one site was low or are you comparing it to SS?

Yes, comparing with SS or IS, the dl count at Xpert is relatively low. But they have high returns. so no complains from me even though the count is "low".  :D

3 dlds at StockXpert this month got me US$3.  It took me 10 dlds at iStock to get the same.  I make more at IS because it still has more volume than StockXpert, but anyway I'm happy with StockXpert.

*, that list changes a lot. I remember you were on top just a few weeks ago. Now Forgiss has over 2300 photos.
They've been extremely quick in the approval process that last two times I uploaded. Last time, pictures were approved before I had the chance to give them keywords and descriptions.

My only gripe with StockXpert is

"we are currently not looking for such images right now"

basically they reject 90% of my illustrations which SS are gobbling up and FT and DT are fairly happy with them.

Some of their reviewers have a strange idea of what is microstock.

In terms of sales a good start to the month which than fla lined but some signs of life now in the last days.

Of course iStock rejected my first sample batch of illustrations I think because i wasn't obeying their colour scheme.

Just decided to give them a try recently. Hope it gets approved.

So many sites, so little time.

fintastique,

StockXpert also rejects most of my illustrations, but other than that rejections have been very few there for me.

I also hate the "we are currently not looking for such images right now" rejection, especially in cases in which I search the database and don't find much about that subject.

This site's been a true miracle. I applied AGES ago, but got initially rejected and kind of... forgot about it. I reapplied last week, had my almost entire portfolio (300 images) accepted, and had 10 sales within 4 days (including a weekend). True, can't judge performance by first 4 days, but I'm impressed. They are EXTREMELY quick with approvals. I FTP'd over 300 images, so I was stuck in the StockXpert briefcase moving 50 images a day. Pretty much an hour after shoving the images over they'd be approved.

So my personal accolades to StockXpert. Nice customer service, fast approvals, high commission and (so far... knock on wood) decent sales.

Yeah, they're really quick now. lately, they've often be approved before I'm finished inserting keywords. Wonder if they pay reviewers per image they review.

Stock Xpert is my favorite site, period! Others may have more downloads, but overall StckXpert is the best
