Hi,

any idea how to input compound keywords such like "studio shoot" or "from above" during image editing???

Thanks.

Antonio

separate single keywords with commas and when your keywords contain several words contain the whole keyword within one set of commas, for example:

attractive, female, studio shot, from above, model, isolated...

Thanks Aetherial, but doesn't work!

In have been trying doing as follow:
- input compound keywords separated by either normal commas or quotation marks
- presso OK to confirm
- click on pic...

...and the result is always that in the keywords field all the compounded keywords are broken in individual keywords. So If input "from above" then I found "from, above".

I don't understand what's wrong with my steps.

I haven't uploaded lately, but never had problems with this, except on terms like "isolated on white", which were read "isolated, on, white". I simply delete the extra commas and save. Quotation marks were not necessary, I've put them here just for separation. My keywords are embedded in the image, so I think the extra commas were just a problem from reading the IPTC data.

Not all compound keywords need that, I think only those with prepositions, maybe not even all prepositions trigger that.

Antonio, I am curious why you are doing this with StockXpert when you are exclusive with istock.  They haven't let exclusives upload there already have they?

Thanks Aetherial, but doesn't work!

it was working, but it doesn't anymore apparently. they have upgraded the whole software several days ago and this is a new feature. I looked in my gallery and my images with compound keywords are broken down in individual words... sorry for misinforming, in my defense, I am certain that it was working before.

Aetherial: do not worry, is not your fault!

Sharpshot: no, I am still exclusive on IS and upload my imagery only there.
The info on StockXpert are for my wife Tina who post as non-exclusive also on IS, FT, DT and SS.

Antonio, did you make it work? I have just tried uploading an image and the compound keywords were separated.  Tried to type them again and saved, they got separated again.   :-\

It will be good when they get it working. Phrases can help a search.

As I said in their  forum yesterday (no reply from staff yet though):
Quote
Someone searching for "white dogs" doesn't want black dogs on white background.

It's a pity that I used to take StockXpert's data to upload to IS (as the latter doesn't read my IPTC data), now I have to copy from elsewhere (FT, probably).

Adelaide
