Last week I took two images that had been accepted by StockXpert but needed some cleaning up in the background. I uploaded the cleaned up images and both were rejected, neither for technical reasons. One said "try a different angle" and the other said "we are not accepting such images right now." I've written to support but I am really burning about this.

Aggravating, isn't it?
-
This is in the iStock section. Are you talking about submission of the cleaned images to iStock or StockXpert?
-
i'm guessing rosta meant StockXpert.. so i will move the thread

ooosp, thank you I meant to put it in stock expert sextion

Rosta,
Did you receive a reply from StockXpert?
I have a couple of images for which I think I did a small improvement (after DT rejected them) and I always thought of resubmitting, so I wonder if it's worth the trouble.

I haven't heard back from suppost yet. What bothers me is that they were accepted already, all I did was remove some background oddities that I had missed and they get rejected for "artistic" reasons. I don't think I should be "punished" for uploading an updated version of the same photo just because the new reviewer has different taste than the old one.
I have done some work on images that DT reject with a "can resubmit" and had them accepted the second time.
-
why do inspecters have the right to reject updated images of already accepted photos for reasons that are not technical?
-
Did you delete the original images before you uploaded the improved versions? ???

I would avoid resubmitting to StockXpert. A few days after one of my images was approved I used the "Replace File" function to upload an identical image that was just higher megapixels. They rejected it due to "keyword spamming". Funny thing is, I didn't touch the keywords. Seems like a pretty broken and inconsistent process. I emailed support and am waiting for a response.

It wasn't a resubmit, it was just a replace file, I hadn't deleted the old ones, I used the replace button on the editing page.

Clarification "I would avoid using the Replace File thing at StockXpert"
-
Now I know, aaarrggghh
-
I had the same thing happen too! Did you have any sales on the image?
-
I had no sales on either, which is why when someone on another site pointed to the distracting elements on one side that I forgot to remove I thought I would upload the updated ones. I never knew it could lead to outright rejection of them after they had been accepted. Never again will I do that.
-
Mine had sales and they still rejected it when I did "replace"
EERRRGGG.
-
I got a response. They re-approved the image and also approved two other images that were mistakenly rejected for Keyword Spamming. Nice to see StockXpert support is responsive and reasonable.
Rosta, any update on yours?

I git an email saying it was being looked into, so there is hope
