Thanx Steve, I really like the StockXpert contests. But I do have a suggestions, iPods are probably a lot of fun, but StockXpert is a photography site, why are they not offering photography equipment? That would be much more attractive. I have no use for an iPod personally.
None the less, I do not mind to win, my wife would be happy with an iPod  :) Just a suggestion for future prices..

I thought about photography equipment, but a decent number of illustrators and digital artists doing 3D renderings enter as well.

I just thought iPods would be the most universally attractive. Plus they are easy to ship. :)

Notice I do have a B&H gift card as a third prize.

I probably will have to mix it up for future contests. If you guys have suggestions for different prizes in that price range, let me know.

Thanks!
-Steve

Thanks for your answer, right, I forgot about the digital artist and illustrators. But maybe you can offer prices the winners can choose from like in your annual contest. Then the illustrators and digital artists can take the iPod and we Photographers can get a lense or so  :). For example the Canon 50mm 1.4 lens should be in the price range of the 80GB iPod, at least in Germany.
I just got my first July contest submission accepted :)

But what about those weird people that shot Nikon or dare I say it, one of the other brands.

I saw one competition that was a 1D, a 2DX or a apple laptop.  Not suggesting you go to that extreme but maybe offer a couple of options for each prize.

I agree with Freezingpictures... Sure, iPods are fantastic prizes, but I wouldn't use an iPod as much as I would a new lens or some lighting equipment! (In fact, I'd have to make sure that one of my daughters (ages 23 and 17) didn't sneak off with the iPod! ;))

I don't shoot with a Canon nor a Nikon, myself. I am actually a Pentax person (unless I win the annual StockXpert contest, then I may just have to switch! ;)). I think a gift certificate to B&H, Adorama, or some other reputable online photography supply shop would be a great alternative prize for us photographers!

Btw, Steve-oh, I just joined StockXpert about a month ago, I am so glad I did! My sales there have been really encouraging so far (much better than any of the other non-subscription sites to which I contribute), uploading is easy, and the review times are the fastest I've seen anywhere! :) Great job you all are doing there!

Thanks, Monilu for the kind words. Glad your doing well at StockXpert!

Ok, guys. You got it. Starting with the next monthly contest we will offer a couple options for prizes.

Definitely appreciate the feedback on this!

-Steve
