Is it a joke or what?
Someone at StockXpert has been rejecting batches of photos for no reason at all "Rejected - [Thank you but we are not interested in this subject matter or situation]".
No similar photos in the batches. The batches contains model shots, landscapes, conceptual shots, wildlife, pets, etc., many of them have been accepted by other agencies and selling.
Is there a way to ask for a review of the decision? Does anyone have Steve's email?
I am sure it's not just me.
-
What do you mean 'no reason at all'? Rejected - [Thank you but we are not interested in this subject matter or situation] sure sounds like a reason to me.
All that aside, you can PM Steve-Oh by clicking here (http://www.microstockgroup.com/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=499).

I had an unusually high number in the last batch as well. Maybe a new overzealous reviewer. Similar "not interested" reason, and again, a variety of subjects.

I see that one a bit as well... I got over it a while ago. :-)
;D

Mass rejections can be a thing of the past!

I get the occasional odd rejection at StockXpert, but nothing that concerns me. Honestly I'd care a lot more if they sold my images, which they don't. Sometimes I wonder why I upload there, when SS and DT combined make about 20x what I make at StockXpert. I guess I am still blindly hoping.
-
I also noticed that they reject a lot of in last few days. In last 5 days I submited 250 images, and about 50 were rejected (simmilar). Usually they all get aproved, but in last few days they dont. Since it is rejected as "similar" I dont complain... they were simmilar (different angle) to others, I must be honest.
And sales, well, in last 2-3 months sales droped pretty much. I barely get 1$ per day. Cant make a payout per month any more :'(
-
I previously had a lot of images rejected but surprisingly of late I'm getting a good run!
Touch wood!!
-
Send in all you got now, review in minutes and no rejections. But where´s the sales?
-
Magnum you are right!
I have 100 % approval rate last 2 months, but batches no more than 5 photos...
Maybe problem is that greed is opposite proportional with quality... :o
But also I have zero dl.s till now 0.00$ ???

Have you opted out of subscriptions?
I read some place else that someone tried opting in to subs ad resubmitted all their rejeced items and they got accepted.
With the recent fiasco over photos.com, perhaps it's their way of striking back...
-
Yes! my good run of acceptance continues.
And sales have been pretty good recently also.
-
I've been seeing the exact opposite...very good reviews over the last 3 months.

No! Everything is marked on "My account/ profile"
But I have about 80 photos only, but also that 80th makes RPI 0,63 $ on SS last month!

All my submissions have been reviewed almost instantly -- often while I'm still setting their catagories -- with few if any rejections. However, I uploaded 45 on Friday Morning and they are all still pending.
-
Images were just reviewed, with only a couple of rejections ;D

StockXpert has a bunch of really hard working Editors (reviewers) and they are doing a great job. They've come a long way from their text book ways.
They are extremely conscientious of trends and what sells as well as having an open mind.

Says the StockXpert employee...
Images that sell WELL on other sites are being rejected. How is that knowing what sells and what trends are?
I'm not saying they don't work hard, I'm just saying they are human beings who make decisions based on personal reasons which does not serve StockXpert or contributors. Unless something is just total pure crap, nobody should pass judgment on whether or not something is salable (I've even seen a lot of crap that sells).
Images rejected should only be rejected for technical reasons (pixelation, focus, lighting, etc..) and not because somebody thinks they know what will sell and what won't. If reviewers at StockXpert really knew that info, StockXpert would be selling a lot more and would be on top of the industry, which it's not.

You completely missed the point of my post where I was trying to explain why there were less rejections. I am sure you are seeing less if any, rejections for "we are not interested in this".
I totally disagree that images should solely be judged on quality for various reasons and so does most stock sites; not just StockXpert.
By the way dnavarrojr, how many of your images were rejected on StockXpert for because they were not interested in your content?

Zero for me personally on StockXpert (6 so far on DT). I've only had two rejections so far due to keyword issues and I'm still waiting on them to re-review those two images. But I think most "digital artists" have higher acceptance rates than photographers (from what I'm reading on a number of forums).
My brother-in-law, however, is a professional photographer and has had a few dozen images rejected on StockXpert because of similar content which I think is stupid. If two images aren't nearly exactly identical and one is accepted the other should be too. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, not the reviewer. Just my opinion.
