And now i'm waiting .... payment form StockXpert. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
What i have to do next ? Please help me advice
-
You will receive your payment if you requested it. If it takes too long, contact support. You do not have to delete your images, the site is gone. Maybe some of your images will appear at ThinkStock, check it out.
-
I deleted my files and requested payout on 02/02, and requested again on 02/10, but no response or payout yet. Now it appears to be an empty shop. So who will pay us?? No one, is my guess.
ETA: The Support page still says "We will respond to your request within 24 hrs." :D
-
When I deleted my files and requested payout, they said it would be sent to paypal within 30 -45 days
-
I think they processed too late.! Why i requested over 1 week and i waiting payment form StockXpert. .....
When I deleted my files and requested payout, they said it would be sent to paypal within 30 -45 days
--> wait up 30 -45 days.! Why .... anyone had asked StockXpert, why???

I don't know why StockXpert so late .... and who pay for contributors ???

I think this is just for questions. Payments have a schedule, probably. I requested mine yesterday, waiting for the last-minute sales on the 11th. As we have IS behind this, I don't believe we will lose money. That's the only good thing about this...
-
Oh I think too. But I don't why StockXpert so late, i want to clear for this problem. If anyone have answer form StockXpert please post it here for everyone to see...
That i think (45 days for payout too late), any you ..?
-
In their forums they mentioned it might be a bit delayed because of the overwhelming demand for a payout.
For some strange reason i wasn't able to log in there today... anybody had that happen?
-
My login no longer works there.
they sent me a new login/password ... that doesn't work either????????????????
-
In their forums they mentioned it might be a bit delayed because of the overwhelming demand for a payout.
Like Getty didn't know there were going to be a ton of people asking for payouts?
-
My login no longer works there.
I just checked and my same old login works ok.
-
I can login too.
-
I also received no response to my request for payout. Who knows.
-
Same here.
I deleted all my images, requested final payment, no reply yet.
I think they will though. I'll give them more time.
-
Some one says:
-> deleted all images & request final payout: Can't log in.
-> don't deleted images & request payout :can't log in.
What the happened with them. ???
And me:
I requested payout and don't deleted images and I JUST CHECK LOG IN IS OK : I waiting payment over 1 week, may be we will wait more time.. . . >:(

Well - I have received an E-mail:
"Hello,
Thank you for choosing to transfer your StockXpert credits into your iStockphoto account.
You now have 0 iStockphoto credits. Start searching now. If you have any questions regarding iStock please visit our Support Page.
The StockXpert.com website will remain accessible to members and active for certain functions such as account history and purchase receipts. For more information on StockXpert please visit the StockXpert forums.
Sincerely,
The iStockphoto team "
-
Everyone received it, as I know.
-
I received the same email as well.
-
Thank you for choosing to transfer your StockXpert credits into your iStockphoto account.
That was intended for buyers, not contributors.
-
I can't login anymore and I wanted to request my final payment. I wonder if my money will be transfered over to my IS account?
-

No.
You can login if you try several times here: http://www.stockxpert.com/balance (http://www.stockxpert.com/balance), not on the main page.
-
^^^ Thanks for that. It finally worked for me on the 4th attempt.
-
Cant LogIn too. So I have over 400 radioactive previews of images under Hemera collection on this Thing iStock.
Where can I track sales (if any of that bee there) or all of this will be putted under carpet?
-
Suljo, try what FD-amateur said. It worked for me from 5th attempt.
-
Doesn't work for me:(...
-
Cool and very professional from them after 4th of 5th attempt just for login?!?
So as I see they dont sell anything in 4 days???
"Big Gays"
May be they need new rebranded logo for better sales ;D
Maybe I will sign this logo to iStock ;D
-
Doesn't work for me:(...
Don't use the saved password in Firefox. Clean the masked password in the box and paste it freshly in. Try several times. Do F5 (refresh) some times. Mine went through after some trials but I did all kinds of weird things I forgot. Try another browser, delete cookies. Try again... Once you get in, save the page offline as proof. I also saved the pages offline with all my earning since last payout.
-
I followed FD's suggestion and it worked at the first attempt. I didn't use the boxes on top right, but on the middle of the page.
I thought the site would be still active for TS submissions?
-
It worked for me also with internet explorer. I used the saved password in firefox and it didn't work. Thanks Flemish.
-
I thought the site would be still active for TS submissions?
I think the site was supposed to be active if you were opted in to TS, you could see your balances on StockXpert. But honestly, there have been so many things they have said that don't work right, I'm not sure what they are doing (neither are they, apparently).
-
Oh, i think have some problem with StockXpert site when they moving ...
And our problem is payout and final payout is very hot. I don't know how long they make payment for everyone.
In StockXpert forum payment will delay cause have so much request payout .... :)). And question for StockXpert:" Delay payment, how long?" no have correct day. :D :D :D
-
Who tried this:
If you had a subscription on StockXpert, please visit Thinkstock, enter your StockXpert username and email address to access your account.
For me it doesn't work.....

thanks, that finally worked... but there's no info there. I got email saying my stuff was being moved to ThinkStock... but it's still not there. That is why I didn't cashout. Now... well... i'm waiting on a reply from support.. we'll see. 8)=tom

Suljo, Your version of Logo is much better and reflecting full confidence ;-) Have you uploaded it to iStock stock logo? I am sure they'd be delighted to accept it ;-)

Maybe you are a Phase II or Phase II person. As far as I can see nothing of mine is moved from ThinkStock so maybe I can close that account and get paid. No hurry, O'll wait for the other 100,000 photographers who closed accounts filed for payment on the same day. ;)

According the info I read at several places, you should only see your balance there, and your sales reports. Nothing more. They will keep StockXpert alive for contributors only to report sales on TS. I never read that ex-SX contributors could log in directly to TS to look at their earnings. That's why the password thing probably is a glitch.

This is what it said, the very short version.
StockXpert will become a window for your Thinkstock sales from your StockXpert images.
Also this:
You can find your content on Thinkstock by searching for your first and last name in single quotes: 'John Doe'. Please note that the migration is still ongoing and will take some more time to complete. If don’t see your opted-in files, be patient – they will show up eventually. StockXpert content will show up as the Hemera Collection.
Except I found my IS photos using "my name" (yes in regular quotes) Both seem to work for my images, I'd guess that either will work for everyone, the same way.
That's not the account name it's your real name as you registered. Which is also an issue for some people who would rather not have their name showing in Microstock, but would rather have their profile name / pseudonym.
So much for more confusion on a scattered migration.

after 4 or five tryouts to just login to ex EXP site but in right order.
just try imagine how payout will bee fluid and accurate ;D
-
tried thousand times using firefox but failed.
then with only 1 try, managed to log in using IE.
i am wondering how to delete my files now?
or am i too late? >:(
-
I send a query to StockXpert about the position of my photos and money. The answer I received is in short that if I ask for a final payout my account will be closed and I will receive my money. If I don't, all my photos will be for sale at Thinkstock.com, and sales there will be added to my StockXpert balance. I can still at any time in future request a final payment, and closure of my account.
-
Just logged in to remove my images and request payout..
For what it's worth it appears that the login box top right does not work, but at /balance the login box in the middle of the window does..
Weird.
Cheers, Chris H.
-
not for me, neither works in FF or IE!
-
Today StockXpert (IS team) will be make payment for everyone. ? ? ?
I requested payout 7th FEB and i don't delete images. Anyone like me ? ? ?
not for me, neither works in FF or IE!
-> Have you deleled images and request payout ????
-
I never read that ex-SX contributors could log in directly to TS to look at their earnings.
From what I understand, ThinkStock is a dummy site...meaning you can't directly upload to it and you can't check your earnings there. No forum, no nothing. The only thing you can do is search for your photos. Sales are reported through your StockXpert account and you get paid from StockXpert.

ya, so right.
i guess i was wrong, and now i am eating my hat.
we are all f**ked , once again . seems like it's becoming a habit in microstock.
as that old comedian once said, "what, I GET NO RESPECT!"
this should be our motto from now on.
micro stock contributors get NO RESPECT ! ::)
-
I got a reply from my last payout request last week, and I've just confirmed I don't want to migrate to TS.
Thank you very much for your email.
StockXpert is not closing to our contributors.
Please note that requesting your final payout will also close your StockXpert account.
Your files are eligible to be featured in the new subscription site - Thinkstock.com. If you choose to keep your contributor account with StockXpert, you will continue to accrue royalties from any sales through Thinkstock.com. The royalties will be added to your balance monthly, and as usual, once you reach 50.00 USD you cash in your earnings.
Of course, if you decide at a later date that you would like to terminate your account, you can do so at any time and all royalties earned will be paid to you.
Please confirm that you want to close your account.
Thank you.

I sent an email a couple weeks ago requesting payout and never even got a reply. So what are the magic words?

I want my lousy 25 bucks!

They don't want to make life easy for us, do they? I bet they could do this with one mouse click.
Hello,
As per your request, your account will be closed and your royalties paid out in full. In preparation for the account closure, please delete all files from your portfolio.
If there is anything else we can help you with, don't hesitate to contact us.

I just received final payout from StockXpert via MB!
-
Still waiting since 02/02...(yawn)
-
I requested payout as normal and received it a couple of days ago, I was above the normal threshold limit and everything went smoothly via paypal.
-
I have received my payment, didn't appear to be any problems for me.
-
Deleted my portfolio from StockXpert since a few weeks ago, sent 3 sitemails, never got back an answer and my files are still on thinkstockphotos. Does anyone know a way other than sitemails to support that could work faster? I really want to get my files out of there and get my money.
-
you can try [email protected]
I got this email yesterday, when asking the eta of payouts for those who deleted their images and closed their accounts on StockXpert. It took 5 days to get an answer, though:

There must be 20 thousand photographers all asking for their money right now and 10 thousand email asking where it is right now and 30 thousand people closing accounts. Looks like everybody has their undies tied up in a bunch over the closing. Sul JoKa has nothing to do but write nasty iStock posts. Whos going to be paying you, its not some tiny business that will disappear in the night. Why is all so impatient.

I wonder how many emails we would have gotten from them if we owe them money instead? ??? ::)
-
Yeah, I got the same email and asked for clarification, and got this
----
Hello,
StockXpert is not closing therefore if you ask for a final payment, we will close your account and you will need to delete your images.
If this is not what you wish to do, please let me know ASAP as your account is in the process of being closed. Your images will still be sold on Thinkstock.com and you will need to use your StockXpert account to manage your sales.
----
I still don't know what to do. Either StockXpert is closing or they are not. I can't ask for payment by normal channels as I am a few bucks shy of $50. I don't want to delete my images, if there is a chance of future sales.
I thought they were closing my account. I don't care if the account is closed or not, but if there will not be future sales, I want my $40. I don't see any indication that any of the SX stuff is on thinkstock, just IS stuff.
Other than, it's Istock, why are they making this so * confusing and difficult? What's wrong with simple clear communication?
-
I also emailed [email protected] one week ago. Nobody answered.
This is getting * annoying. Especially my stuff being on stinkstock, this bothers me the most.
-
Deleted images and requested final payout 02/02, and emailed support three more times after that.
Still waiting....... >:(

Deleted images and requested final payout 02/02, and emailed support three more times after that.
Exactly the same as me. Here's what Seb said on the StockXpert forum when I asked yesterday:
Somebody asked: Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, I've looked but I can't find it.
Has a regular date been set for the monthly royal updates via StockXpert? If so, when will they be coming through?
Many thanks in advance...
Seb said: There are some delays due to overwhelming demands to close accounts but 50$ and over payment requests should be issued every Fridays.
The OP was asking about royalties from Thinkstock and Seb misunderstood but clarified later to him. Then I said: So is this the answer that applies to people like myself who do not want to participate in Thinkstock, deleted our images, and then closed our account? Because I did that on Feb. 2 and still have not received a final payment. Can you tell me SPECIFICALLY when I will be getting a final payment?
Seb said: I was told that payments would be made late last week, early this week. If it is not the case, I'm sorry but it's the only issue I have. Also, even if you contact the StockXpert support team, we do not have info either. It's basically myself and another person going through the emails.
I know it sucks to wait for so long, I've had similar situations in the last year, but rest assure that you will be paid. I doubt that Getty will be going under any time soon.
My reply:
I doubt that Getty will be going under any time soon.
Well, and that's the most galling part of it all. The big boys are still rolling in the dough and yet I can't get a measly payout. And as far as the overwhelming demand, I am pretty sure Getty must have had SOME idea that a lot of people would be closing accounts. I can't believe this caught them by surprise.
Mind you, I am NOT shooting the messenger. I know you are just relaying the info that is given to you. It does sound like they are just stringing people along, to their own benefit, though.
Nothing else after that. His comment, by the way, about emailing was because I posted on the StockXpert forum and emailed [email protected] at the same time. Apparently he and one other person are manning both stations. :)
-
I also emailed 3 times and eventually got a reply promising payment within 90 days. Which obviously means the plan is to draw interest on other people's money for an entire accounting quarter.
-
im still waiting aswell.... keep the post going so the people who are watching OUR money know that we are not going to forget about it!!
-
I removed my images and sent a request to close my account a few days before the site was shut down. I had $3.80 owing . . . I wonder if I'll get it? :D

YAY! Just got my final payout from StockXpert. Finally! One chapter ends and another begins...
ETA: I see that my account is still open, though. I asked for it to be closed. Maybe that will take another 60 days. :-\
-
Just got my final payout. I closed down my account and I thought I deleted all of my images about 5 weeks ago. What I did was delete the all of the folders. About 2 weeks later I found that my images were still there.... did a little research.... found that I had to delete each image.....image by image..... I liked this site but it was one of the worst sites for uploading images for approval. And to have to delete the images one at a time..... I felt I was getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
That was about 2 weeks ago.
And now paid. None of photos seem to show up on thinkstock. But almost all of my istockphotos are on there now??? that was strange.
But I had given up on being paid so that was nice.
-
Just got the email telling me I was paid by paypal but payment hasn't showed up yet. I believe it will, at least they notified me of the payment. Sorry they had to close.
Update: Payment made it to paypal account. All is good.
-
Just got mine too.
-
Just got my payment today. It took a couple of weeks.

Me too

I just got paid :) its only $40 but its a nice bonus...

Actually, I DID check them one by one and delete them. Went into my account Sunday, and they are all back on the site. I sent a note to support. What a clusterfloot that whole thing turned into. I did check Thinkstock, at least they are not there.
-
I'm just curious, why is everyone taking the time to manually remove each image in their portfolio?
I got my last payout and am opted out of subscriptions. My stuff was never put on Thinkstock. Why spend hours removing them when they are just sitting there not hurting anything?
-
I got my final payout today to....a wooping $31.70...woo hoo. I just ask them to close my account and they said the images would be deleted and the account closed on February 11th or 12th...don't remember the date, but from what I experienced then did it for me when I requested the account closure.
-

That's what I thought too, I was opted out of subscriptions, but they still sent a batch of mine to Thinkstock (about 130 out of 8000 ) but it scared me enough to delete them all.
-
Got mine too. Assume they are paying off everyone now. Agree with Lisa. I've never deleted my images from any site. Several times this has ended up paying off in the end.
-
Yep I got my $3.80. Nice!
-
I'm just curious, why is everyone taking the time to manually remove each image in their portfolio?
Because at the time, that's what they told us to do. If you remember, we were only supposed to leave our images up if we wanted them to go to thinkstock. If we did not, we were supposed to delete them all and close the account. But then, nothing really worked like it was supposed. A bunch of us had our images go to thinkstock, even though we did delete them all and ask for the account to be closed. What a frickin mess.
edit: a message posted on the forum said that they are now having issues with image caching. Apparently my images are showing in my account again because they have been cached. Here's their exact words:
It sounds like you're seeing old cached results. We're having some problems with having out of date pages being cached and that would explain this. If you've been through the process and deleted them, then they are deleted. We're working on getting these caching problems sorted out and that will take care of this for you.
In the meantime, remember that only you can see these results - the site isn't searchable by anybody else. I know that you want the images gone though and once we get the cached fixed they will be again. Thanks.
If there weren't so many problems with images showing up on thinkstock that never should have been there, I would actually believe what they are saying. Now...grain of salt, etc. etc.
-
Still waiting on mine, but since it's Getty, I'm not worried. It'll come eventually.
-
I sent an e-mail to them to request my final payment. I promptly received a reply, asking me to delete all of my images.....a real pain, deleting one at a time.......around 1100 of them! Within a few days of doing that, I received my final payment today.
-
And the funny thing about the caching explanation...after I deleted my photos, even though they went to thinkstock, they were gone from my StockXpert account. I checked several times. So the caching thing is kind of like a miracle...it brought back my photos from the dead! I have zombie photos! :)

Hmmm. Thanks for that. Maybe I should drop them another email, as I did exactly the same steps as you described. But that was several weeks ago, and still nothing. :(

I rec'd an email from "Sebastian" telling me I had to delete my images in order to get my final payout.
Which I am still un-patiently waiting for.
-
Ok, finally, got mine today. :D
-
Me too. I got my payout today and I can't login to StockXpert anymore. I did delete all my photos manually last week as was ask in a previous email I received.
-
As did I.
-
I also got my last payout today. I requested it more than 3 weeks ago.
-
Transfered my final payout from Paypal today!
-
Finally got my last payment from StockXpert. Sorry to see them go.
fred
-
Got my payment, couldn't log in days before that.
I did not delete my photos, although they had asked me to do it before paying me and closing my account.
Should I worry?

Should I worry?
The only way those images can go is to TS. I would check there periodically.
-

Should I worry?
I did delete my photos, and asked that my account be closed on Feb. 2. Got my final payout, I couldn't log in to my account for a time either. But now, my account is open again and my photos are showing up again! Admin has said that my images are showing because they are having a problem with cached images. I have assured that I am the only one that can see them and they are not searchable. I don't know what the explanation is for my account being open again, though.
I don't know if you should worry. I am really bothered by the way this whole istock/thinkstock/StockXpert thing has been handled. Just proves how very little control we all have over our own photos.
-
Is it legal to offer the images on ThinkStockPhoto when you've never agreed with them being offered there? I doubt that...
-
I don't remember opting out of subscriptions but none of my images seem to be on Think Stock. Nor have I seen any final payout from StockXpert. Although I don't know where to look for them. Any guesses?

Yep, those are mine. At least some of mine (and not my best sellers--????) that were at StockXpert. I'm still in the dark about this whole TS thing. The images that you so kindly found for me say Istockphoto on them. Does TS just redirect images that were once on StockXpert to IS? I could make no sense out of any of the StockXpert info that was on their site, including how they were going to pay us. I did follow the link to IS regarding pay but found no explanation at all...at least that I could understand. Sorry for being so dense on this subject.

As best I can tell, any image marked iStockphoto did in fact come from iStockphoto. StockXpert images are supposed to be labeled Hemera. In my own case, I have a set of iStock images I opted into partner programs. These are all poor or nonsellers at iStock, so I don't feel I'm losing much by offering them cheaply. Most of them show up on Thinkstock; for some reason there are 250 fewer on Thinkstock than I have opted in. So far none of my StockXpert images have come across.
As for payment, I see 21 partner sales in January and 37 in February on iStock. The February sales showed up today. Interestingly, they showed up in two batches; the count was 23 a couple of hours ago but just jumped to 37. I'm wondering if they represent two different sources, say Photos.com and Thinkstock. What I'll be curious about is whether this is how things will be, with iStock image sales on Thinkstock reported on iStock and Hemera image sales on StockXpert. Or maybe it'll all shift to StockXpert whenever they manage to move those images.

IIRC images that were on StockXpert were supposed to be dumped into Thinkstock as the Hemera collection. The whole ill-planned scheme has changed so many times since it was announced, hard to tell what they are doing now. They sure aren't going to tell you. It's the new business policy everywhere...create so much confusion, the underlings won't know what you're doing and they will just give up and follow like little lambs.

It still works that way, at least it does for my photos. Everything on ThinkStock marked as "Hemera" is ex-StockXpert, everything marked as "IStockphoto" is coming from IS...

Couldn't agree more - and don't forget to have faith in TPTB ;) *SCNR*

A bit off topic but important.

IS and StockXpert are different companies, owned by Getty. We don't get paid by Getty, we get paid by the individual companies.
You can't have sales from one company (StockXpert) being payed to an account on a different companies books (IS).
You wouldn't expect a sale on DT to be paid on your FT account would you, just because they sell on the same partner site? ;D Maybe that's an easier way to explain it.
However what you proposed would mean that all the IS people would suddenly have StockXpert accounts, for ThinkStock payments only? Many people on IS never had and don't want a StockXpert account, especially considering the exclusives. No I don't think so.

I haven't figured it out either. All of my stuff at TS says Istock. But I have more images at TS than IS.

Ah Ha, the first light that something is fishy. Thanks. You have just proved the impossible happens. (not blaming you, but questioning how IS and StockXpert are being merged into ThinkStock) It should be impossible to have more images on ThinkStock than you have on IS. Interesting!

This happened to me to, I was directed into someone else's account with full access to their personal information! I sent a not to support.

Same thing happened to me. I also emailed support. After more than a week, they responded wanting details. I don't have any details. I was logged into someone else's account. I looged out and logged in again and it worked correctly.
Veryyyyyy Strange.
