Stockxpert apparently will offer subscription service and footage soon. I would be interesting what prices they would have. Maybe Steve-oh can enlighten as  :), as well as when StockXpert actually will offer this services.

hmm that's interesting :o
I'd be happy with selling footage on StockXpert too.but I am not to sure about subscription service ,I know it would surely boost sales(in my opinion) but  what if this becomes a general trend among all other sites as it is becoming so popular.(lately DT,123rf and some other got the same.) it might mean a dramatic cut in our earning if StockXpert adopted this system too.I'd prefer 50% of sales rather than 25-30c.

let's see what they are thinking

like you said Steve may enlighten us.

Well, I have occasionally alluded to new programs that should help you guys earn more money through StockXpert. These are only a couple of them.

We're still working out the details and timing of these two programs (and the other ones), so I don't have much more info to report yet.

Hopefully, we will start rolling these out within the next couple months.

stokfoto, we are finding that those who prefer subscription services and those who pay per download tend to be different and have different needs. So it's not like we are trying to necessarily convert buyers from PPD to subscription, we're just trying to attract more buyers overall.

"Subscription service".  I don't like the sound of it.  :/

...i don't know...maybe subscription will not affect our revenues from per-photo sales. After all, a very few of my sales on DT come from subscriptions.

I still make more money from a subscription site than any of the other sites.  Other sites that have added subscriptions are doing well.  As long as we get around 50% commission, I think it is a good idea.

I agree with Diego that in DT the subscriptions are not a problem.  I seldom see one.  In CS however, almost all sales are subscriptions with a mere 25c earning per each.  I don't like that.  Let's not get into a discussion about volumes, it doesn't work for me.

Adelaide

I hope that they don't start subscription sales.   At DT we had a pay rise and higher catagory images went up considerably which made up for any losses on subscription so unless stockxpert plan on doing the same then I think we will all see a decrease in earning.

To add footage is a great idea but i really hate subscription i already deleted my account at 123rf (and to delete 3000+ images by hand is a really hard task) and shutterstock will soon follow i also stopped uploading to dreamstime since they added subscription and deleted my most valueable (valueable to me not necessary best sellers) at DT. I hope StockXpert makes it optional to the contributors like snapvillage otherwise this is the end of traditional microstock for me as StockXpert remained the only classic site i still contribute pictures (SV,FP and LO are not really microstock to me as you can set your prices higher). I made 1700,- Dollars with traditional stock and 400,- Euros with medium stock (prices in the two-digit eurorange) last month so i really think i can survive without microstock now (though i must confess this was an expectional good month). But i'm really, really fed-up to see my HiRes-pictures go away for a few Cent (Dollarcent it's even worse if you have to convert in euro).
Steve-Oh please make it optional
