My guess is they had some sort of database/software problem a couple months ago, causing some accounts to be essentially marked for death.  And there's no one there anymore who can fix it.

That's the reason: subs

By opting out, you guys killed your files on the most downloaded sort order unfortunately.

That was the only reason I opted-in. Not for 0.30 cents! Not because I enjoy the subs! Only to be able to stay high on "most downloaded" order and compete with others who opted-in!

Do you think I should bother opting back in since iStockphoto is going to be utilizing the Photos.com deal anyway? I'm just not sure it's going to matter when iStockphoto takes over.

Seems to me there is no point in opting in now when the nails are being hammered into the coffin lid of StockXpert.   Since I am opted in I will stay that way until they remove my images from the sub sites.

Not sure why, though, since I can't seem to get paid for the sales I do get.   >:(

I presume we will still have StockXpert subs?  Perhaps the buyers will look there when they can't find our portfolios.  I am not sure if I want to continue with 30 cents subs though.  I only stuck with it because they were supposed to be going up.  Other sites pay me more and I might only sell subs with them.

Something strange going on here. I have more sales at IS per day than currently at StockXpert in a month. Is this the punishment for opting out of subs?

It looks like subs sales bring images forward in the search, so opting in is a big advantage.

Yup, I'm seeing a good increase in PPDs, this month they have accounted for approximately 75% of $$ earned, which for me is a big turnaround.

Well guys consider yourselves lucky you got your money from StockXpert just in time, because it looks that they're at the end of their road, I uploaded the same batch of photos to IS, DT, BigStock and StockXpert with this outcome: IS accepted them, some with a 5 rating, DT accepted almost all, BigStock accepted all but one and StockXpert rejected all of them for the reason of "QUALITY OF IMAGE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE", it looks to me that, they don't want any more photos uploaded to the site, or at least not photos that could compete with IS, so it seems that the end may be very near for StockXpert, when they're giving lame excuses to reject images, I just hope StockXpert and Getty have the decency to pay contributors what they have accumulated in their accounts, but are only a couple of dollars away to reach payout like many have mention on this thread.

Isn't it a bit of an over reaction to think the site is closing just because they rejected your images?  Reviewers sometimes fall in love with the reject button, it happens on lots of sites.

I think StockXpert is alive and well. Is selling constantly for me and latest batches were accepted 100% last week.

I'm not jumping to my guns just because a batch of my pictures were rejected, I'm use to that after years of being a contributor to many sites, besides it's part of the business, as a matter of fact, the batch I uploaded last week were approved 100%, I also get sales from StockXpert must everyday, the point to my post is that it is very strange that IS, DT and BigStock some of the most strict reviewers in the market approved the same photos, in the case of IS, getting a high rating on some of them, and then StockXpert rejects them all!...I don't know guys, but this make very little sense to me regardless how much in love the reviewers have on the rejection button, also let me make this clear StockXpert has always made me plenty of sales, as well as being one of my favorites sites to upload too, so it's not my intention to start rumors on them closing down, just that their actions lately seems to be leading that way...I don't know I could be wrong (I hope I'm), so I guess time will tell the reason behind all of their actions.
I've seen plenty of times images accepted by StockXpert but then rejected by IS or DT, but never the other way around, and that's what I'm having a problem understanding. ;)

It is definitely weird that all your pictures in that batch were rejected.  After years submitting to the various sites you do get a feel for what will be accepted and rejected and it is always jarring when some reviewer goes nuts and rejects everything.

That said, I just uploaded 30 pics last week, in two batches, and they were all accepted.  I have even gotten views and a sale on the ones uploaded Thursday.

So I think there is still a chance this is a rogue reviewer.  OTOH M@m's experience may be a taste of things to come.

In the absence of any word from StockXpert admins we are left to speculate what's going to happen over there.

You have a point, it's always been StockXpert easy on reviews, not the other way around.
But now, me too, images all approved everywhere else mass rejection on StockXpert.
I amthinking maybe StockXpert is now being used as the bad boy in the IS relationship to get more people to move to IS from StockXpert.
I am even more convinced when I see images on IS that would traditionally be rejected , that is now even being on featured lightboxes. Not just selective focus, but really out of focus, bad macro , really..
really bad depth of field, and outrageously bad still life. Like, horrible composition, and worse, terrible choice of objects.

Maybe to have them get past a reviewer is sometimes expected. But to get it featured as lightbox of the week. Now, that's something you expect from StockXpert, NEVER IS.
So my guess is Getty wants us to get our stuff to IS, and forget about StockXpert.

Those are also my feelings Puravida, I think they're just trying to get us upset and aggravated enough with StockXpert so that we close accounts, stop uploading etc. and then IS will get all the attention...sorry to hear you also got mass rejections on StockXpert, but by me not being the only one with this complain, lets me speculate better on what Getty's plans are.

Paid in few hours. Never have payment problem with them. Sales are very slow.

I opted in when it came around ...when, last sept??   and my sales have stayed steady/normal... in fact,  i'm still getting JIU and Photo sub sales this past week..

I dont know how its all going to go down... I AM on IS,  been there just about the same amount of time as on StockXpert and the 'folios are almost identical...
so what's to do??   I suppose I'll just be collecting those 'outsider' sales from IS that I used to collect at StockXpert  ??

Also I have enough to get a payout, but ... the JIU and Photo deal may take up to 90 days to complete per the email I got....    I'd hate to take the payout now, and then not achieve payout level in the next 90 (less now) while stilll making the JIU/Photo sub sales....  so I'm debating hitting that payout button...

I am amazed reading this thread how many are not with IS already,  I kinda assumed that most were.. IS has been my #1 or #2 in dollar sales (battles with SS).

I don't know why Getty wouldn't keep StockXpert active and viable... it's not competition anymore, it's add on sales... what's the difference where the customer is buying as long as all the bucks ultimately go in the same wallet?
However on the other hand... I am hesitant about continuing to upload there...
I think I'll just sit tight until the dust settles.... 8)=tom

They're still doing right by me.  Third last month behind SS and iS.  And I received payment just 12 hours after requesting it.  If only everybody would be so prompt.

I also just got paid today, so that part is still running OK, if a bit slower than it used to.

Approvals, however, seem to be very much delayed.  It's as if Getty cut review staff or money to pay freelancers, and a backlog has been building up.  Current waiting period for reviews seems to be about 8 days.  Not too long ago you only had to wait about 24 hours.

Oh well, the sales are still good, so I'll keep uploading there every day.

THis is welcome news!  I got mine today too.  Looks like whatever was holding them up has been resolved.  I hope :)

I agree about the sales.  At 6% of my sales for August it is still worth uploading there.

Payment was as swift as usual - requested it this morning, payment approval only 12 hrs later.

As to the review times, I didn't notice any changes to prior the Getty take-over. Usually, my images are reviewed and approved in about 4 - 8 hours, with an occasional delay to about 24 hours.

August revenues were just slightly down from July, but still in line with expectations, so I have yet to notice any negative change at StockXpert. Even got three responses (from three different people) to a support request, recently. They're still going strong, as far as I can tell.

I was excited to sign in this morning to see 4 StockXpert ppd's - (I get so few "real" dls there these days) and then I realized they are all for the same photo  :(  I bet there will be news of a refund coming my way in the near future.

And, when are these JI sales going to stop?

On a good note, I too requested payout last night and have received it already.
