I've been waiting over a week for a payment. Another contributor who had been waiting a similar amount of time, but contacted support about it, had her overdue request canceled and was told to make a new request.

It's supposed to be 3 days - what's up? The site has been selling like crazy, which is wonderful, but not if you don't get paid...

Has anyone else been seeing long delays at StockXpert?

Me too. Maybe I should just send my request again  :)

You'd better get in touch with them - I was paid a day or two after requesting it.

I sent in a request for payment on November 29th and still haven't gotten it. I guess I have to contact support.

I have contacted support, so we'll see what they say tomorrow (I assume this is handled in Hungary?).

It's odd that one or two payments have been prompt even though a number are taking a very long time...

I have one pending since the 29th, also.

I make my payment requests on the 22nd or 23rd so that the money is in my account by the end of the month - maybe that's what makes the difference.

Perhaps, but if that's the case they might want to change item 8 in the seller's FAQ which says "Electronic payment requests are usually processed within 3 workdays."

What I think we need is consistency and predictability. If I knew that payments were twice a month or once a week, or... then I could arrange my requests accordingly.

Thanks for the link to this forum JoAnn :)
I am the member she referred to who contacted support (8 days after a payment request), and their response was to CANCEL my pending request and tell me to make a new request.

I am thrilled that sales there are so good, but I agree that unless I can actually collect the money owed me good sales don't mean much.

I second the call for predictability.  I don't even mind the sites that pay once a month as long as they do that in a timely way.  It is impossible to budget for bills when  sites are so inconsistent in paying out.

And for heaven's sake Stockxpert - if someone is concerned over a late payment = DON'T CANCEL THEIR PENDING PAYMENT  :-\

Guys,

PayPal put a temporary block on our account. We are trying to clear it up now.

Moneybookers and other payment methods should be working fine.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting an update. I did get a reply from support this morning that said they were asking the Technical Support team to look into it. No mention that PayPal was the issue.

I have to say that I find it very odd that you just found out about a PayPal block for payment requests going back (in my case) to November 27th.

Does PayPal not notify you if your account is held? If various contributors hadn't brought this up, would the problem have just stayed hidden?

Once this is figured out, perhaps there's a change of procedure needed somewhere so that snafus get picked up on sooner?

That explains it. I have been waiting since Nov. 29th. I did write support  saying that I requested payment via Paypal and wondered why it wasn't processed yet. They responded to me by saying we don't send checks out until the 10th of the month and that I should be getting mine within a week.

I sent another one saying I wanted it by PAYPAL not CHECK, no response yet and no payment either.

If I remember correctly they had lots of trouble when they first started using Paypal.  Wonder if there having the same problems again.

Was hoping for some e-mail with a payment this morning, but nothing.

How long is straightening out the PayPal paperwork going to take?

They certainly haven't done a very good job of managing the relationship with their suppliers here - they should have emailed those who have requested payment by now, or put up some sort of notice on their site.

Come on, StockXpert, you've got a lot of people counting on you ... don't drop the ball!

I had the same problem with my last request and I'm using MoneyBookers.

After waiting 10+ days, I've contacted the support: they cancelled my request and told me to try again. A few hours later, I got paid.

Some glitches at StockXpert... but they are performing incredibly well for me which is the most important  ;D

So what's the lastest?  I heard a rumor on another site that the paypal problems have been straightened out...  Still no payment from them, though as of 5:12pm EST.

Please keep us posted....

When I asked about the status of my payment request (via PayPal) they answered that cheques will be sent the 10th of every month. Obviously this didn't answer my question at all, so I told them again that it was a PayPal request - no answer yet, no excuse, no nothing, but waiting since Nov 30 now.

If they would at least cancel my previous request so I could do a new one (which would significantly increase the payout) as soon as their problems with PayPal are solved - that would be nice.

Well, that's what they did to/for me - cancelled my request.  Now I am just further back in the queue waiting for payment.   It didn't do me any good at all.

The only thing that is going to help is paying up.  And then I can request another payout for the remaining balance.

I contacted support again today - to ask if we could get an update.  The response was to thank me for my patience and that they were still working on it.

Tomrrow (Tuesday) it will have been 2 weeks since I made my pament request. It's not as if this just happened in the last couple of days and we're all being horribly impatient...

Steve-oh, I don't know who "admin" is on your own forums, but this morning's message from "admin" was exceedingly disheartening:

"Paypal says they are reviewing our documents so if all goes well should be able to have complete access this week!"

This week?!! And if all doesn't go well?

I've already been waiting for 2 weeks; I could request another payment already.

What is your plan in case you can't sort out this PayPal mess promptly? Surely there is some other arm of Jupiter that can pay us until you straighten out what's wrong.

I know it's frustrating. I completely understand, especially around this time of year. I keep thinking of Frank Capra's movie "It's a Wonderful Life". Although, in our case the money exists, and we're not about to jump off any bridges.

This is what happened. PayPal flagged us for having two employees access the same account at the same time from different locations. They thought this was suspicious activity and immediately without question or warning restricted our access.

So we contacted them to have our access restored. They requested documents. We provided them. A few days later we would hear from them again requesting more documents, we would provide them.

A few days ago they indicated they have all the documents. Now we're waiting for them to restore access.

It's frustrating for us too. I am still trying to find ways to pay you quickly. Check won't get you the money any sooner. I've been told wire is impossible. I'm still looking for other ways.

*, I'd personally write you checks if I had the money.

I don't have a request for payment in (yet...coming soon though) so I am not experiencing the frustration like you other folks (yet).

I had to jump through some of Paypal's hoops while setting up a company account for our company estore. It was pretty ridiculous. It was bad enough to find them lackadaisical in worrying about piddly little consumer accounts, but large corporate accounts? I find their customer service department appalling.

Thanks Steve.  Sorry if the frustration seems to be all directed at StockXpert.  I have read the horror stories about paypal so what you are going through is not that unusual apparently.  The continued communication is much appreciated.

I am hesitant to open up too many portals into my bank accounts, but wondering if Moneybookers is any more reliable.  Anyone have experience with their customer service??

Moneybookers' customer service is ok. A little slow, and rather formal, but not unreasonable. I find it much better and more personal even than PayPal. I've had two discussions with them, and got very straight answers within a couple of days.

Oh, and Moneybookers deals in Euro, so the money keeps its value if it stays there too long   :)

Guys,

One option we've come up with is if you open a moneybookers account we can pay you that way.

You will have to e-mail us using the contact us form to cancel you pending Payment to PayPal and make a new request using Moneybookers.

We will have your money on Tuesday. We don't know how long PayPal will be. We call them everyday. ANd check would not be any sooner.

Thanks!

Thanks again for the update Steve.

I just opened an account with moneybookers and e-mailed StockXpert customer support to cancel my pending request with paypal.

Just please, do whatever possible to see that the moneybookers payments are made in a timely way... :-)

Again, thanks for helping sort this out.

I checked out the moneybookers site, but it appears that it'd cost me $2.70 for each transfer to my bank a/c, so I don't think I want to pursue that. PayPal costs me nothing .

Thanks for putting in an update, even if the news wasn't what I'd hoped to hear...

Steve-oh,

I was planning to request a check.  Are your checks also tied in to your Paypal accounts and will they be delayed as long as Paypal is delayed, or will they be issued for sure even though somewhat slowly?  I'm really not interested in opening another gateway into my bank through Moneybookers right now.  I don't mind waiting the extra time for a check----Paypal might take a lot longer than anyone thought. >:(

Checks are not tied to PayPal. I'm just not sure how long it takes for checks to be cut and mailed. You can definitely put in the request if you'd like.

Thanks!

Steve, I contacted support this morning in hopes of cancelling my payout request and making one with moneybookers.  No response so far.  If they don't respond before the weekend then this means the payout will be pushed back still further.  And then I have to wait for moneybookers to clear my credit card.

Honestly, there doesn't seem to be any fast way of getting this done, and as helpful as you are being, the lack of response from the Support team would indicate this is not being treated as a high level priority by them...

I have been waiting for payment from the 26th of November.

gee...no money...no reviews...
maybe the reviewers took off when the money stopped flowing....

i currently have about 130 pictures pending since late november til now......( I bet most will be rejected, but still...)

and one would think things were going swell with that 10 grand sale recently....

oh well
I like stockxpert but they seem to be ending the year with a whimper......

Just an update.  I switched my payment method to Moneybookers and received my payout in two days.

Thanks very much Steve-oh and StockXpert for getting this to me so fast after the change was made.

I do still prefer paypal, though (no fees to xfer money) so if paypal does become operational again, could you let us know?

Meanwhile, it is a relief to know I can get paid through moneybookers :-)

I don't think that StockXpert really cares.  If they did, then they would have found another way to get everyone their money.

Why didn't they just open another PayPal account and use that to pay everyone?

Or use the corporate credit card to pay everyone via PayPal?

I also have opened a Moneybookers account and got paid in two days. I reached the dollar amount for which I usually request a payout, and decided I should get it done. But paying $2.59 to get my money is really unacceptable and I will not be willing to do that again.

Just wait until you have a larger amount of money on your account, then $2,59 does not sound too much. Also if you want to convert the money in another currency moneybookers is better. And seeing what trouble paypal makes to an agency like stockxpert I am happy I switched for most of my money to moneybookers. It just feels saver. If paypal can make such trouble to a company like StockXpert what happens if an ordinary person like me gets flagged. I do not know how long it then takes to get the money which is in the paypal account. I am curious how many photographers now completely will change to moneybookers. It certainly was not the best advertism for paypal to make such trouble to StockXpert.

As Perrush wrote a while back, Moneybookers uses a better exchange rate than PayPal, so it can really pay if you aren't living in the USA. I'd switch in a second, but they don't offer service to my country (Canada).
